Dish arrives on Tuesday and does anyone have a semi current schedule for Adult Swim on Cartoon Network(especially yhe action block)? I'm also curious about a show listed called Full Metal Alchemist (basic plot will help!)

TIA :)

I don't watch any of the anime stuff, so I'm no help there- but I CAN tell you that Adult Swim changes around their programming. A lot. They rotate shows in and out of the nighttime line-up (no AS at all on friday-sunday).

Futurama and Family Guy are always in the line-up.

Tonight includes those, then Mission Hill, The Boondocks (great comic strip, not-so-great cartoon); Ghost in the Shell:STand 2, Paranoia Agent, and Neon Genesis ??? (something- can't remember).

Those last three are anime- so I never watch them.

They also rotate in/out: Home Movies, The Oblongs (love that), Tom Goes to the Mayor, and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head. :)

I love to discover new anime but I love old anime friends like Cowboy Bebop and Trigun too (I fell in love with them via AS). But my inner Buffy geek is happy about Family Guy(Oz!) and I love Futurama.

My dd is an anime geek.

Full Metal Alchemist is over, ended at Episode 51. Japan made a movie to end it but it is only in Japan now. Might be showing reruns.
In fact she is fuming because alot of her favorites are over.
There are lots of new anime out.

I like "demon" anime. I am recently in love with "Descendents of Darkness". Which I watch in reruns.

Mystery Machine: I dsicovered anime via CB and Trigun so I'm partial to those but love to find new ones. Is there anything on AS right now in that style(I also got into Inuyasha)

Robot Chicken is pretty funny, in a stop motion kind of way.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force has always been funny, but not anime.

I have absolutely no idea what this thread is about...just want to say I just discovered Moulin Rouge and I am addicted!

Agree with the Robot Chicken, very funny stuff. I believe it is written in part by Seth Green of former "Buffy" fame.

My dd says....

Eureka 7, and I think that Samurai Shamploo is releasing its new episodes um...everything is sorta ending but Ghost in the Shell was pretty awesome. There is also S-Cry-Ed, but I don't think that is on anymore. It ended, but the series was really awesome.

that has the shows on it, and in the left bottom is a schedule and you can just click on the days and whatnot. Anyway, hope that helps. They do have an offical website that has info and clips among other things. Anyway, there you go. Although, I watch ALL my anime on the internet.
www.youtube.com just search up like, for instance, Naruto episode 1 and it comes up subbed.
And the movie Concourer of Shambala is on there. It is the complete ending to FMA. Anyway, there is A LOT of anime on there. I have seen over 17 series of anime. The only problem is waiting for the episodes to be subbed when you catch up. The screen size isn't the biggest, and the quality isn't the best, but it shows you what you want to see. And there isn't just anime, there is amv's(anime music videos, just in case) robot chicken skits, snl skits, random nonsense...yeah, mom says this is enough info lol, bye:)

I wanted to add that I watch "Descendants of Darkness" on AZN (Asian Channel). Not sure if your DISH will have this channel.
We have local cable.

Yes and several of the cast of Buffy are the voices of some of the characters on Robot Chicken! I think Emma Caulfield has done a couple as well as Sarah Michelle Gellar!

My inner Buffy geek is extremely happy with Robot Chicken too! It is the best show on Adult Swim! Besides Family Guy and Futurama! And Aqua Teen Hunger Force.. Ok I'll stop now!!

One more thing though, Season 1 of Robot Chicken is out on DVD and I highly recommend it.
