I understand there is a pool for the kids and a pool for the adults. What age do you have to be to use the adult pool? Is there a separate pool for toddlers?

Quiet Cove pool is for 18 and older. Someone else will have to help you regarding the kiddie pool area.

i believe you have to be 18 and above to use the adult pool. well there is the mickey pool which is the children's pool. and the goofy pool is for families.

There are 3 pools. Mickey pool has the slide and is only about 18" deep. It has even shallower areas in the 'ears'. I do believe anyone can go into this pool, though toddlers must be potty trained. I think one of the 'ears' is for babys not potty trained, but with swimmies.

The Goofy pool (family) is for anyone of any age. It is about 4 feet deep and about 8 degrees cooler than the other two (according to the tv info). When we wer onboard, the Goofy pool was absolutely crammed and by the second day, so murky, you couldn't see more than 2 feet deep. (Yuck). It was mostly with kids about 5-12 yrs of age. There was no roon to swim. All they did was Kind of float in a spot they could find. It was nuts.

The Quiet cove is for adults only, and anyone under 18 would be kicked out immediately. ANyone under 18 can not ever be in the area. It was heaven. Just too bad the music was so bad in that area.

on our cruise, we spent the whole week at the adult pool. there were some with very small children but if they were causing a lot of noise they either left or were asked to leave.

Adult pool has quiet music most of the time. Goofy pool is the party pool, with the island type music, and a live group most at sea days.

I think that there are activities set up by the adult pool, where they do kick up the music, but mostly it's very peaceful.

The music played in the adult pool area is mostly piano and flute music from what I remember. It is what I would refer to as New Age. After my first cruise I started packing my portable CD player and some music I like.
The DCL CMs do a remarkable job keeping the under 18 crowd out of this area.

I thought the music at the adult pool was awful! Sure it would be fine for an hour or two in the morning, but by mid-morning or afternoon, they should play some fun calypso or reggae of something. That sleepy elevator music has to go! We enjoyed the Adult pool immensely, just HATED the music!
Why can't that great calypso band play at the adult pool once a week or more. It was a shame seeing th Goofy pool crammed with kids not paying attention to the music and us poor adults, who would have appreciated it - AND DANCED - has to listen to YUCK!

That was my biggest complaint on my comment card.

We are not fond of the music choices either. We are bringing our MP3 players so that we can listen to music we like. Much easier than bringing Discman and CDs.
