DH and I will be there is 14 days :scared::cool1:. We have never done the hoop dee doo and were wondering if it is worth it for an adults only trip? It is something we never did when the kids were little, and now I wonder what I have been missing. There are still tickets available for out dates so not i am thinking my plan.

Help :confused3

Really worth going - great fun - we went last year for the first time and it is now on our list for must do!

My DS10 loves it. DH, not so much. If you like really corny humor and fried chicken, it's great! If it's something you've always wanted to try, go for it!

I would absolutely do HDD with just two adults, it's great fun. Honestly when we did it I was worried that it would be a big flop because we aren't necessarily impressed with corny humor but we loved it. And even though the menu didn't necessarily sound super appealing to me I actually really enjoyed the food.

My husband and I don't have any kids. We did HDDR last year for the first time and loved it. There were a lot of adult only tables there the night we visited.

Well, I have never been to HDDR, but spouse and I are going by ourselves in late May (pre Disney cruise) and we are excited to give it a try.

We’ have Done a couple of 30-60 year old nights and we all had a blast

Absolutely worth it! We do HDDR every trip, with or without kids. It is the one thing we look forward to the most. So much fun!

We did HDDR without kids last year and it was okay. I wouldn't go back, but it was fun. Now I can saw I have done it.

We never went because I had it in my head it was "country music" and vittles. I live in the land of Hoop Dee Doo so I saw no reason to pay for it. Well DD was working at Disney and on each visit I would take her somewhere she couldn't afford to go. She picked HDDR. Okay. We made sure to take Disney transportation so we could enjoy the all you can drink beer.

Well it's not country music, it was a clever funny show tied more to old west I guess. I actually thought it was more adult entertainment than for children, and I likely wouldn't pay that kind of money to take kids. I think there is better kid entertainment elsewhere. We did attend the last show and I've heard they play more to adults that show, I don't know for a fact. I would say there were fewer kids at our show and they didn't necessarily look engaged .... there were no children anywhere around us, upstairs.

We, all adults, wouldn't blink about booking it! BUT I do think we found more value because it was AYCTE, food we enjoy and all the beer we could drink.

We absolutely love the HDDR. We do take our kids and they love it too. Our older DD once got picked to be in the show and it was hilarious. Plus the food is delicious. Definitely go and enjoy!

We have seen Hoop-Dee-Doo three time. And will see it again in October. Kids love it and so do we. Great (and very simple) fun and great (and very simple) food.
I actually think this is a must no matter what your age is.

DH and I are doing an adult only trip in June and I’m sad we will miss out on HDDR because we promised ourselves we’d do all new us restaurants this trip. I love HDDR

My two young adult children (22 and 25) are joining us next week for a 5 day trip and we let them have a lot of say in our planning. My DD's #1 thing she wanted to do was HDDR which we never did on all our trips when they were young. It surprised me that she picked that. DS said "how bad can it be with the beer included" :drinking1 DD had a friend who went with her family, all adults and they loved the show. We booked ours on a Monday 6:15 show so we can take the boat after to MK and do the eve emh.

Don't be cheap....book category 1. You're really close to the stage and get a great view of the entire show. Repeat....don't be cheap!!!!:).

I booked Category 3, not because I was cheap, but because I would rather have an overview of the entire show and room.

We loved it!

Great view, the entertainers came up to us a few times.

If I went again I would book the same exact thing.

Once you book Category 1, you'll never go back to Cat 3...just sayin'.

I booked cat 1... just hope I'm not IN the show! :scared: One trip I got picked for a part in the World Showcase Players show, yikes I hate being a spectacle but there I was and my family thoroughly enjoyed my discomfort. It was also a cold Feb. day so I had put on an extra coat over my sweatshirt and fleece so I look like the Pillsbury doughboy in the pictures my DH took :sad2:
