We are taking our kids to WDW the week preceding Christmas. One night, they plan to stay late at MKfor EMH. Given that they are teens, I know we will then let them sleep in the next morning. So DH and I will be on our own.

Any good suggestions for places to have a nice breakfast or walk or some theme parking? We are staying at BC.

One thought is to have breakfast over in either DHS or AK so that we can pull fast passes to use later in the day with the kids.

DH will not be interested in touring the resorts to see decorations, FYI (I'm doing that the last day with my DD while DH and DS go to IOA).

i would see which park is open early, and make a reservation there, spending the day at that park.
or, try the b'fast buffet at boma, and go to AK straight from that resort.

one thing tho: you mentioned getting FPs for your entire group while you and your DH were at AK. fyi, the FP machines will only issue a pass for tickets that have been used for entry into that park, that day.....so you would only be able to get those 2 FPs.

hth:)

Thanks for the helpful suggestion. I had thought about going to Boma (as we've never seen AKL and know that it's beautiful). So that just might do the trick.

And the info about the FP is VERY helpful. Would never have realized that! And it will help with my planning.

Any other suggestions/ideas?

On our last trip, my son and his friend wanted to sleep in late one day.
So we decided to head to Magic Kingdom for the opening ceremony without them. We got a quicky breakfast at the bakery on Main St. and sat at the tables down near Plaza Restaurant. We watched people coming in and enjoyed the Trolley Parade on Main St. while we ate.
We had gotten a schedule for the strolling entertainers throughout the park.

We never seem to stop and "smell the roses" when our son is with us. We really enjoyed doing this and we are planning to do this at another park on our next trip.
This way we didn't miss out on rides or shows without our son.

oh i had an amazing breakfast at kouzzina. you can do that and stroll on the boardwalk or take the boat to DHS. we stopped and smelled the roses there so to speak and it was fun. we watched the show on the street and they pick on the adults in the area, i think it was more geared to the adults than kids. i would say epcot but the world showcase opens later.

yes and the FP tip is right. we had a woman on our boat to kouzzina who had sent her husband into the park to FP TSM while they went to eat at one of the resorts. well when he got in to the machine and discovered the plan wouldnt work and called his wife she lost it on the boat! we felt bad for him.
