Hello! I am 25 years old and love Disney as does my DH! We went there on our honeymoon a year and a half ago and have been back one time since then. We plan to go back November of this year also. I am posting this in hopes of hearing from other Adult Disney fans who share my love for Disney. I work with several people (one is particular) who says things like "Why don't you go somewhere else, you've already been there?" That really makes me mad and I am sure I'm not the only one who knows someone like this! I guess when she starts paying for my vacations then I will start going somewhere else...but until then :cool1:
I'M GOIN TO DISNEY!

Also, I'm sad cause November is so far away and I want to go NOW! :flower:

DH and I choose to stay at the Value Resorts because we don't spend a whole lot of time in the room and we would rather spend money on food, souvineers (SP?) and other things. When we get to go we are just happy to be there :sunny:

I feel exactly the way you do, my husband and I got married at Disney and honeymooned there almost four years ago (Jan 26th!), since then we have gone back ATLEAST once a year if not more, and people including family members think we are insane. (the whole grown adults and we have no kids argument)

Both my husband and I are true Disney nuts (as well as roller coaster nuts but thats a whole other story) but due to budgeting have decided to stay at Pop more recently because that allows us to spend more money on events like Lunch with and Imagineer that we are doing this time around.

My DH and I are also Disney nuts. And we also get asked WHY do we
go there all of our vacations. Well....we are seniors????? and just love
the magic. Makes us feel young again. We stay at the Value resorts
because of the same reasons that you do.

There is something different all of the time like this last May we seen
Chubby Checker and sang along with everyone else. Sorry I could go
on and on. Have a great trip in Nov and hope to see you there
as we are going too. :goodvibes

I could go on and on about Disney too, minnygranny! When in November are you going and where do you plan to stay?

We are a childless couple who also share your love for Disney. Thankfully, no one gives us a hard time about it. I think they hear the glee in my voice and see the sparkle in my eyes when I talk about it makes them want to go there, too. We'll never stop loving Disney World!

::yes:: Hi Blueeyes, we will probably be in WDW around the 1st of
Nov for 5 or 6 days. Havn't made arrangements yet. Waiting for
prices to come down. We will be staying at ASMu, seem to like
this one better than POP.

Just can't wait, was thinking about it today. But wait we are going in
May too. YEA. Get so excited just thinking about it. :hyper2:

DH turned me into a Disney Nut on our Honeymoon last September...we are going to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary at Disney in May (we got married in April and took a late Honeymoon!) I like the value resorts for the same reasons mentioned....but my grandmother has offered to upgrade us to POR for our anniversary!!! We get to take a short trip in February to chaparone some foreign exchange students!

We'd go to Disney every month if we could!!!!

DH and I feel the same. My Sis says you have to try a cruise, you have to try Mexico, you have to try this, you have to try that. Well we don't vacation very often, so when we discuss a family vacation we talk about going to Disney. We've even talked about DVC someday.

We had so much fun on our 2 trips to WDW B.C. (before children) and had a great time doing a grownups only DCL trip and MVMCP. Some people will never understand our love for WDW! :scratchin Their loss! ::yes::
Have a great trip!

Thank goodness for these boards. All disney lovers are bonded!
I, to, are one of the "oldsters" and disney is and always will be my
vacation of choice. It started when my kids were youngsters and the
love for the mouse just continued. I get the same comments about
going somewhere else. They don't understand why I keep chosing
the same place over and over again...I don't get why they chose
other places!! Where else can you experience such magic! Unfortunately
I just dream about going now as some issues have prevented me from
any "mouse fixes" for awhile. Some pixie dust please so I can return soon!!!

Yeah, I work with one of those, "You need to see something besides WDW, you're missing out" people and one guy I work with just downright makes fun of me. I sat Poo Poo on them. I would feel like I was missing out if we WEREN'T at Disney!!! There is nowhere else in the world that recreates the magic of being a child on Christmas morning better than WDW. Plus, I like seeing the place where we got married at least once a year!!

If I need to see "something else", maybe we can go to Anaheim or Disneyland Paris sometime. If it ain't Disney, it ain't a vacation!!!

I feel the same way. As long as your SO's or spouses like Disney and will go back, be happy! I am thankful every day that I met a Disney loving man!
We just got back from a Land and Sea package and we booked a cruise for next New years and we're going to WDW in August. We're hoping to save for Disney Wedding. It's is our *dream*. That and DVC. I think we might take a few years off vacations to save for those two goals. It will be hard, but worth it.
Also, my Sister in Law makes lots of negative comments, like asking me questions about my cruise only to stop me in the middle of each answer to say how her Royal Caribbean cruise was bigger and better in whatever question category she had asked me about. Ick. She just picks on whatever it is I like from disney Princess plates to my choice of restaurants, and always acts like she knows more about Disney even if she's completely wrong. I give up.
Ignore the negative people, put up tons of disney pics and smile!

I can so relate. I was telling my friend's husband that my fiance and I bought into DVC and that we will be able to come for a couple weeks each year for the next 40-somthing years. He was like, "are you sure you want to go there that much?" OF COURSE!! I love the feeling I get when I go through those magical Walt Disney World gates - gotta love the mouse! :sunny:

My husband and I love Disney. We will go twice this year. In February we are taking a dear friend who has been going through a tough time. We want to make it special for him. Our lives have been no piece of cake lately either. We all sure could use a pick me up. Any hints?
I know we will spend time a Jellyrolls as we love it there. And we, of course, have res at Boma. (We once asked every staff member we saw what restaurant they would recommend - every single one said Boma - now thats a recommendation!) We are not huge drinkers so if we go bar hopping it has to be for the atmosphere and appetizers. Any recommendations?

I can hardly wait to leave!!!

I also own DVC - recommend it highly!!!

I love WDW - I go even when I don't stay at WDW - there are a bunch of excellent resorts, condo, hotels and even houses in the area.

some allow pets!!!!

I do sometimes get why WDW again. buying DVC helps they consider it now as I have to go to WDW....yea...

but also I have been to other places - Hilton head, vb, st augustine, williamsburg, atlanta - I just prefer WDW.

My boss kepts trying to get me to go to NYC. He knows I HATE heights - so why he thinks I would like NYC see is belong me....

Atlanta gave me a chill factor and it is small and low compared to NYC.

he tried for years to get me to go to California. But he has finally realized that I would walk/drive/train/bus before I get on an airplane for that long....

Now for other places to eat - go read the other post....there were a bunch of great hints there.

Another adult Disney fan checking in! I'm a single 25-year-old Disneyaholic. I'm headed back to WDW in April, and I'm beyond excited. I can't wait!!

I love Disney too! My boyfriend and I try to go at least every other year (I pick a vacation one year, he picks the next!) The big suprise this year was that HE picked Disney! Even though he'd rather go see the White Sox spring training again!
This year we are taking another couple, who has NEVER been to Disney! I'm so excited for them, almost more for them than for me!
I've tried going other places, but my feeling about trying new places IS actually going to Disney every other year...everything changes so much...my boyfriend hasn't rode Soarin' yet, Everest will be open, no more Tarzan :-(, and then it's the first time for the Food and Wine Festival for us!

I am a single parent who is a certified disney nut! As is my 9 year old daughter, I have turned her to the dark side. I get the same comments, why do you like it so much, i've never had the desire to go, etc... What are they crazy? If they ever went, perhaps their opinions would change. At least party poopers stay home and don't crowd up the parks with their killjoy.

Another 40 yr old here certified just ask anyone that knows me.

You could be doing a lot worse with your time thats for sure.
Disney is full of choice and expression how can that be bad in anyones eyes.

I go at a drop of a hat for any reason (Played paintball got to go to WWoS 2 times a year,Work asked if I wanted to go to training in LA or INDY.were they kidding DL here I come).Don't get me wrong I love being at Disney with DW & DD but I also enjoy my time at the parks for just me.

I have lots o f Disney stuff as well most (collectables &cloths ) are very high quaility so why not.
