DH and I are considering dressing up for MNSSHP. Do you have any costume ideas for adults...would be great if we go as a pair, but it's not necessary. We will be flying in that day, so we're looking for something that will travel well and won't be too hot (we're going in September). Thanks in advance!

Narnia White Witch!! She my favourite! and Aslan? Or Peter!

Simba, Nala?

Pocahantas, John Smith?

Meeko, Flik? (I think that bird name..)

Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swan? or Will Turner, Elizabeth Swan?

Scar, Zira?

Belle, Beast.

Does it have to be Disney themed? How bout' a cow and a farmer or prison inmate and guard :teeth:

A few years ago my boyfriend and I (both in our 40's) went as Woody and Jessie from Toy Story. We got the costumes through the Disney catalog. I don't think they sell these anymore but maybe ebay might still have some.

Linda

DBF and I went out as Kim and Ron last year. We even had a stuffed Rufus peeking from a Taco Bell bag(changed to the show's taco stand)

1. Mrs. Potts (disneyshopping.com has a cute costume)/Cogsworth
2. Lumiere / Georgette (the french maid/feather duster)
3. Si & Am (the Siamese cats from Lady and the tramp)
4. Mr and Mrs Incredible
5. Cruella Devil & Dalmation
6. Jack Skellington & Sally
7. King and Queen of Hearts
8. Pooh & Tigger or Eeyore or Piglet (any combination)
9. Pooh and a Hunny Pot
10. Daisy and Donald Ducl
11. Tinkerbell and Peter Pan
12. Alice and the Mad Hatter
13. Jasmine and Aladdin
14. Jasmine and Jafar
15. Mouseketters
16. Your 2 favorite Dwarfs (from Snow White)
17. Lilo and Stitch (although that might be kinda warm...)
18. Buzz Lightyear and Bo Peep
19. Mr and Mr Potato Head
20. Ariel and Eric
21. Aurora and Prince Phillip
22. Megera and Hercules or Hades
23. Jessica and Roger Rabbit
24. Esmerelda & Phoebus

Just a few suggestions :)

I'd love to go as Elphaba (The Wicked Witch), but am unsure how annoying the green paint would be. I'm not even sure if that is allowed (face paint).

I think face paint would be allowed, you just can obstruct your vision I do believe.

Two years ago I went to a local T-shirt shop before our trip and had T-shirts made with our first names on them. We bought Mouse ears when we got to the park, and voila! Instant Mouseketeers!

There were six in our group, and we received many comments on our "costumes".....things like "Where's Cubby?" or "Where's Annette?"

My wife and myself are both going as pirates. I purchased the Jack Sparrow costumes off of Disneyshopping.com. Of course hers will look a little bit more feminine. The kids are going as Davy Jones, Tinker Bell, and a princess. :thumbsup2

We're going in scrubs, DS & DH will have a doctor Mickey logo on the front, I'll have a nurse Minnie and on the back we'll have a big Mickey head with the words "Mickey's Memorial Hospital". Not true Disney themed, but not super expensive and easy to make, plus we won't get too hot in them (short sleeves) and easy to fit in our luggage.

We also got the OR little caps and face masks, plus a couple of stethoscopes.

DW & I are also going as Mousketeers, but we got our t-shirts from Zazzle.com. It has authentic, 1950s era emblems on them, but we put them on the front, above our names. I've suggested that we turn the shirts around, my wife put "Annette" on the front, and, given that I'm a little heavy and bald, I'll put "Roy." So far, she's just stared at me. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh, here's an easier suggestion. Take your wristbands off and go as a day guest. :rolleyes1

AWESOME IDEA!!! I love that simple idea. I have been trying to think of a costume where I could where shorts. The best I have come up was Stanley or Charlie Brown. I really wanted to go with CB, but don't know if Disney is ready for that. Any thoughts???

Why wouldn't face paint be allowed?

I didn't know that it would be. I knew there were some restrictions on what you could wear and I just wasn't sure if that was or not and wanted to be sure. :)

As the poster below my original reply said, just as long as you don't obstruct your vision, you should be okay. In other words, none of those rubber masks like you purchase at the store.

We're going in October, and we're going to be Belle and Beast. I'm making DH's costume, and a friend of mine's seamstress mom is making my dress.

Last year, we did Shrek and Fiona. Shrek's costume was really easy...some plaid pajama pants, a shirt we already had, and to make the vest we bought a long underwear shirt with a waffle-like texture about 3 sizes too big, cut out the arms and split it down the front, died it with brown RIT die in the washer, and added some grommet holes with a thin piece of leather! DH was cool and comfy all night (and many CMs commented on how great the costume looked! :thumbsup2 ). Fiona's dress and wig I bought from buycostumes.com (I think).

Whatever you choose to be, have fun dressing up!

I'm actually going in my Disney PJ's with my hair in pigtails.......really simple idea that won't take up to much space in the luggage and won't be to hot at the parks. I have Pooh on my pj's so I thought carrying a stuffed pooh around would be cute too :)

I've done a Mouseketeer as well. Super easy do-it-yourself.
A solid-colored tee of your choice, buy black block letters at a craft shop - they iron on very easily. And you put your name on the front. I wore a navy tennis skirt and Mary Jane shoes I already had to stay with the 1950s look, but you could always wear shorts or pants with any comfy shoes.

I like the Charlie Brown idea - very easy - black shorts and a yellow tee - paint the traditional CB zigzags and you're good! I'm sure there will be others in non-Disney characters. ;) Or you can buy a pre-made CB shirt - here are a number of vendors on Amazon.com that have it: Amazon.com CB Tee

Thanks for the encouragement, PB. Can I give you my number and you call and convince my DW?
