Hello - I've been lurking for a while and saving many, many useful tips, but I could use a little advice.

A small group of us are going to Florida in December and want to do a little bit in the parks, but mostly enjoy food, sunshine and Christmas shopping. I do hope the opening confession doesn't get me flamed, but parks are overwhelming. We are in no rush to "do everything", so any suggestions are welcome.

Reading around, I think that lunch/tea at the Grand Floridian would be fantastic, if only for the cakes and we do want to spend an evening at Downtown Disney.

We can only really do one theme park and would prefer classic Disney, though the 'animators workshop' also appeals. As to our likes, we loved Enchanted, Winnie the Pooh and 101 Dalmations. What can we do?

Thanks for all help, advice and just for reading.

No worries IMHO. Everyone has different views. Here is the menu for tea at the Grand Floridian.

I recommend going around to the resorts and seeing the decorations, as they are wonderful. Spend some time sitting and soaking in the atmosphere. If its too cool out for some, sitting by the fire at the Wilderness Lodge is nice. I like it for the memories when I was little and visiting Grandparents.

Going to a park would be good if you know what you want to do. You have a MK's Christmas Party, which can get crowded, but gives you a feel of the festivities. You can enter in at 4pm on that ticket. Epcot has celebrity narrators reading the Christmas story with a 50 piece orchestra and mass chior. This is the Candlelight Processional Plus there are storytellers in each country that tell something about their country and how they celebrate the season. DHS (MGM) has the Osborne Lights.

Wow - thank you for the links. I should have replied earlier, but changed work schedule to 'every hour possible'! Just save for Florida!

We're still researching and have now noticed the barbershop where you can have glitter etc added to your hair - is it usual to choose the park based on the activities other than the rides?

:scratchin

I will pick a park on a variety of reasons. It could be something I want to see or ride, photos I may want to try and get, where I may have decided to dine at or because I will be there later for an event.
