What is the advantage of having a Category 8 vs 9 cabin?

What are the "must do" things on the ship that require reservations?

What are the hours of the Kids Club (3 3.5 year old girl twins at cruise time)?

I read about the Palo Restaurant. If I get the Romantic Escape package, can you have two dinners there?

I'm looking for ideas of things that I can surprise my wife with while our twins
are in the kids club. I would like to plan things ahead of time. These can be things that she could do alone or with me to give hear a few break from the children.

The cruise isn't until 9/2/06.

Here's the difference in the Catergory 8 and 9:
The Category 8 and 9 rooms are considered deluxe outside staterooms (meaning they have a large porthole window.) The category 9 staterooms located on deck 1 have two smaller porthole windows. At 214 sq. ft., these staterooms sleep 3 (with some sleeping 4) and they are among the first categories to book on the ship, as the price on these staterooms is very competitive. Each room contains one queen bed (or two twin beds) a single convertible sofa, and a split-bathroom design. Category 8 staterooms are located on decks 5,6 and 7. Category 9 staterooms are on decks 1 & 2.

The "must do" things that require ressies are Palo, and the spa, and of couse any shore excursions that you chose to do.

I don't have kids, so I'm not familiar with the kids club.

If you get the Romantic Escape, you will be able to eat one dinner there without having to pay the surcharge. The second one you would have to pay for.

Some good ideas to surprise your wife with might be a spa treatment or something at the salon, or room service. I nice bottle of wine or champagne would be nice!

Hope I covered everything!!

The kids clubs are great! If your kids will all be together (since they are the same age), I'm sure you'll have NO problems with getting them to participate int he activities in the clubs.

Surprise your wife with spa ressies for services you think she'd like. You can also take excursions while in port w/o kids (they can be in the club). Palo dinner and brunch would also be a no kids surprise. You can make these ressies 75 days before your sail date online (for first time cruisers w/o packages). You could also preorder a gift for the room (see DCL website for items or contact Shirley at theperfectgift.cc)

Most other things don't require reservations in advance. YOu can go to shows or other events while kids are in clubs. They will even feed them lunch and dinner for you if you want to eat alone (not just at Palo).

There's all kinds of things you can do while cruising to surprise your wife.

First of all look at this website castawayclub dot com
You can look at various things about your cruise. You can look at navigators to help you see what all is offered.

While our children are in the clubs we normally do the wine tasting, go to Palo's and do the rasul in the spa.

There's so much to chose from that we decided to go on our next cruise without the kids.

The Club operates from 8 or 9 in the morning till midnight. The hours vary a little based on whether it is a land or sea day.

REAS guarantees you ONE Palo ressie. You can get a second one if there is space available.

Personally, I like the rainforest (part of the spa). An unlimited rainforest pass is $75. You can sit there and read, sleep, talk to others, just chill, whatever. You might consider a nice spa treatment for her.

The only difference between an 8 and a 9 is location. 9s are on deck 1 and 2, 8s are on higher decks. The 9s on deck 1 have 2 small portholes, those on deck 2 have one large porthole.

If you REALLY want to suprise your wife, ask about the suriel (sp?) spa treatment !!!

=)
