Ads are horrendous!

What has happened to the site?! It’s becoming virtually unusable with all the ads! It’s like someone watched Ready Player One and took to heart of putting ads on 80% of the screen before inducing seizures!

Depending on which one you’re using some have been selling out to advertisers to allow certain ads through on white lists.

I have tried two ad blockers. One built into Firefox and Norton. And this is STILL the result.

My ad blockers don't work on my mobile devices (tablet nor phone, both android). Adblockers work great on PCs.

I use Chrome on all devices.

I had to delete Adblocker Plus & download Cold Turkey Blocker on my PC. So far, Cold Turkey is working great.

I'm using uBlock Origin with Firefox on my PC and have no issues with ads. I gave up trying to read the site on mobile because it was just a terrible experience all around.

This site is a dumpster fire without blocking ads. It's also a dumpster fire on a mobile device.

But even with ads blocked, there are like 6 different things that have broken for at least the past 7 months.

I’m fine with AdBlocker Plus on both my iPad and laptop. I’ve been running it on both for several years and have had no issues or changes to the performance.

What is most annoying on the phone is ads that keep reloading so the whole page keeps reloading. After it reloads it doesnt bring you back to where you were so you have to scroll to find where you left off, and by that time another ad starts reloading. Or you're writing a comment, ad reloads and wipes out your comment before you get a chance to post.

I don't mind the regular print type ads, I don't like the video ones or ones that keep changing and reloading.

While I'm sure the staff here are down on people using ad blockers, I use em because they normally slow the webpages down, and it's not exclusive to just this site.

Ad free on iPhone with Safari & 1Blocker.

Ad free on MacBook Pro with Chrome & ABP.

That was the combo I was using, but I started getting ads. Not as many as in the OP, but ads nonetheless.

I use AdBlockPlus for Firefox and have never had an issue on this site or any other. I don't disable my adblocker for *any* site, especially not a site where the ads are very in your face and annoying. I use a PC. I tried the site on my phone once and I couldn't believe it- it was unusable.
