I hear everyone talking about ADRs and I presume these to mean Advance Dining Reservations. Do you have to make them to dine in any of the Disney restaurants and can you please let me know how to do this and how far in advance. Although I have been going for years, we have always taken pot luck but it would be nice to be sure that we have a reservation booked.
Thanks a lot. :flower3: :thumbsup2

Hi, yes they are Advance Dining Reservations, they are for all sit down (table service) restaurants in WDW. They can be made 180 days from the date you want to dine (I've just done my August ones) if you stay onsite you can make your ADR's for 10 days after you arrive on the 180 day mark too (sorry I'm not good at explaining stuff!)

In busy times most if not all restaurants will need to be booked in advance.

The phone number is 001 407 939 3463

You can call this number which gets you cheap calls......... 08448 610 610 then put in the WDW number :thumbsup2

Thank you very much for your helpful reply. At least now we will not be disappointed if our reservations are booked well in advance.

Have a great holiday! :thumbsup2

Just one tip...check out which ones you want most and book these first. That way you can be more flexible on your times for these. We were lucky in 2006 and got all the bookings we wanted when we wanted them (including CRT). This year for Chef Mickeys...because we wanted it on a specific day, we've had to take a dinner ADR of 8:50pm. It's fine for us cause no kids but that was the earliest we could get and we called over 100 days out. Have fun :)

One factor which has made the table-service restaurants much busier, and therefore very hard to get into without ADRs is the Disney Dining Plan (inclusive dining with Disney resort/Magic Your Way ticket package). This proved hugely popular and has inundated restaurants. This year it is less good value but presumably still popular.
To me it's a bit of a shame to that you can't be spontaneous and call up on the day or the day before when you have a better idea of what you fancy, like I remember you used to be able to do, but times change.
If you don't want one of the must-haves (Cinderella's Royal Table, Le Cellier, Liberty Tree Tavern), and are prepared not to eat at peak times, then you shouldn't have too much trouble getting some ADRs. Actually I did manage to secure an 8:30 reservation at Le Cellier for this coming April a few weeks ago after having failed last year. Slightly later than I wanted but beggars can't be choosers! :)
