We're getting ever closer to being able to book our ADR's for next April, yey!

But I have a couple of questions...

In one of my guidebooks that I have read, it stated that people staying on Disney Property can book 180 days in advance, plus the number of days of your holiday. So this would allow me to book 194 days in advance, does this sound right? Or is this guidebook incorrect?

Also, when my dates come around, will Disney allow me to book ADR's for the remainder of my holiday, not just my arrival date?

Sorry if the above sounds confusing!! :confused3

Thanks x

easiest thing to do is call on the first day you think you can and see if you can make a reservation or not...then you'll know one way or the other..
actually, for the really difficult things, i've called even before the first day, and asked them what day i can call....
i can't remember what i did that for...either the surfing class or the segway tour (maybe both)....i called up a week or two before the day i thought i could make my reservation and asked them exactly what day i could....the CM at the reservations center told me what day and that was the day i called back....

oh....now i remember what it was for.....the illuminations cruise.....right....that was the one i called about in advance so that i would know exactly the day....so on that day i started calling a few minutes before the phone lines open in the US and kept calling until i got through....and voila....got my cruise...

The rule is actually that you can book 180 days before but, if you are staying on Disney property, you can make up to 10 days' worth of ADRs at the same time. So, if you wanted an ADR for 10 days after your arrival, you can actually make that ADR 180 days before your arrival date (so 190 days in advance). Confused - yep, so am I :rotfl:

Thanks guys, I think I'll give Disney a call this weekend, just to put my mind at rest. Oh, this planning sometimes get stressful! :scared:

Looking at your countdown, I am assuming you travel on 12th April. If you want an ADR for your arrival day, the earliest you can book that ADR is 14th October. However, on 14th October, you can also book ADRs for the next 9 days of your stay (so 13th, 14th, 15th etc. up to 21st April).

Does that make more sense?

Whatever happens, the earliest date you can make an ADR is 14th October.

That's making much more sense now, thank-you! :)

So I'll be on the phone just before midday on the 14th October, hoping that I can get in there quick enough for CRT on thr 14th April, as it's mine and BDF's two years together  If I can't get CRT for either breakfast, lunch or dinner, then I'm hoping for Chef Mickey's...but are there any others that people recommend? We just want to have lots of fun, esp. on that day!

For a nice meal for a couple, I can highly recommend Le Cellier. DH and I had a lovely meal there last month and will almost certainly be trying for an ADR there in April.

Thankyou - again :)

I've had a look into this option since you mentioned it and the place looks lovely! Just having a search through the menu's now, but I have to admit, this one also looks tempting! Still need a character dining one too, it's DBF's 1st trip, so I feel he must experience one, even though we're 23! :rotfl:

I see also you're going around the same time as us, were are you staying? I'm soooo excited to be going back after such a long time away!!

As far as character meals go, we have done breakfast at both 1900 Park Faire (Grand Floridian) and Crystal Palace (at MK). We really liked both, although Crystal Palace just tips it for me because of the yummy puffed french toast ;)

We fly out on 10th April - I think there are a few DISers going around the same time. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge Villas and Boardwalk and I can't wait.
