ADRs with DDP - didn't mention it; must I?

Hi everyone,

So I noticed (too late) in my Passporter it says if you are on the DDP you should tell them that when making adrs. Well, I made adrs and never mentioned it. Do I need to call them back and tell them? What about for Akershus and Brown Derby where they took my Visa number? Does that mean I'm unable to use my DDP points to pay for those meals.

no, you don't need to call them back. Those two you do not actually pay in advance (like CRT & the dinner shows, if you're not on the DDP they will charge the full price in advance -- not so at Akershus & B.Derby)

They will use your Visa CC for a hold on those reservations - if you're a no-show your CC will be charged minimum per-person ($10, IIRC) Otherwise, when you check in, tell them you're on the DDP and again when server brings your bill.

You'll be fine. I have several times made ADR's when I wasn't on the DDP (or so I thought), added the DDP later and had no problems. And Brown Derby was one of mine too one of those times.

The only time I think it matters is if you have a pre pay like HDDR, then I am not sure how that works if you have already paid and then go with the DDP.

Interesting that they didn't ask you when you made your ADR's. I called Disney Dining few times, to make and change ADR's, and I was asked every time if I was on a dining plan.

They usually ask at the podiums at the restaurants, and our servers always asked too!

Thanks for your help everybody! If I call to change any adrs I'll try to remember to tell them I'm on the DDP but otherwise I'll wait until I'm at the podium.

Don't bother. I will save you time With the exception of pay-in-advance meals (CRT/dinner shows), telling the CM you are on the DDP enables that person to tell you how many credits the meal will "cost".

Hollywood Brown Derby is two credits. Chances are, all your other meals are one credit each but if you'd like to tell us what reservations you have, we'll let you know for sure.
