I just got off the phone. 90 days out, called at 6:59 AM. One hour on hold and one hour trying to make reservations. Ended up getting only 6 of 9 and had to make concessions (lunch instead of dinner) to get some of those. Will be there for 7 days and not one Teppon Edo available, then cast member tells me schedule might not be loaded into the system yet, so keep trying.

I know Mama Melrose is only decent place to eat with Fantasmic package, so I figured that was hopeless going in. It was. Took Brown Derby, but will probably cancel it and try to walk in to Fantasmic, if we go at all.

An entire week and not one opening for 50s Prime Time and Tony's Town Square, either.

This is my first ADR disappointment, and what a big one. One more thing, even after I told cast member I wouldn't take my dog to Hollywood and Vine, she kept recommending it. She was nice, but what was up with that?

Good Luck to all trying to eat in Disney, you may be doing more walking with food in your hand than sitting with it.

I hear you, its so frustrating.

I posted my dissapointing experience yesterday. Three calls & over 2 hours to make 6 adr's. Didn't get some of my first choice and didn't get a couple of my 2nd choice backup's either.

Both CM's were not knowledgeable about the system or the restaurants. One told me that Cape May was in Epcot and the other argued me about Teir 1 at HHDMV was covered with the dining plan (it isn't).

Just off the line with disney dining......
all reservations from 5/22 to august are DOWN in the system, said it would be 2 hours ( I was trying for an ADR for an off site guest, they LAUGHED when I said that...then said it was down) THAT was NOT comforting:rotfl2:

I share your frustration, I too was up calling this morning and ran into the same thing. :headache:

4 of my 8 ADR's wouldn't show up. I even tried 6 others that weren't there either.

I hope it does get fixed soon and we all get what we want! :goodvibes

Ok, I have never been to WDW, so this is my first experiance with making ADR's. Now, I don't have to make ADR's until June 13th, but after reading posts everyday I'm starting to see something in common....Does the system break down every day? Is this common for the ADR system to just break down, phone lines to get disconnected, etc? I just hope that whatever is causing the system to crash is fixed before I make my ADR's.

Is this just common for Free Dining time or is it always like this?

I just called about 1:15. They told me ETA for the system to be back up was around 2-2:30. I knew something had to be up when I called at exactly 7am, got through immediately, and when I asked to book Teppen Edo 11 days out, they said there was nothing the entire day. I asked the lady - how can that be if this was the first day to book for the 31st?

Good luck to all when we call back in about an hour!

Just called about 5 minutes ago and was told the system was still down. Try later this evening. :sad2:

OP, the restaurants aren't truly booked up... As others mentioned, there is a system error that is showing the restaurants as booked even though they aren't.

I just called to check on it and was told they hope to have it fixed this evening or tomorrow morning. So, try calling again tomorrow morning!!!

Every time I read these horror stories I am so glad that my 90 days was last Sunday and I got through right at 7 and was done in 20 min. with everything we wanted - had to go early with LeCellier. I took the chance and called back on Weds. at 7 got right through and was able to get a better time for LeCellier. From what I have read I must have just gotten done before the system went down again for hours. Keep trying and try on other days also since it seems there is a few available at different time. Good luck

FYI Just called and got all of my ADR's!!

Le Cellier, Teppan Edo, O'Hana and Sci-Fi!!!

Good Luck to all!!! :goodvibes

I'm surprised you don't think Brown Derby is a good option. If you're on the DDP, I'd probably agree, since it's 2 credits instead of one. I don't use the DDP, and I like the food at Brown Derby. IMHO, I think you're lucky to have gotten anything on the Fantasmic package, since that's become a rarity these days, too.

My advice is to call on the 90 day mark of days you wanted your favorites. Disney will release more tables for the 90 day mark, so that might be an option.

Sometimes you'll find cancellations if you keep calling, even close to your vacation date.

well this thread is encouraging (NOT) considering that tomorrow is my "90 days in advance" day to call!!!!

SO all of you folks that couldn't get through today, will be calling tomorrow with me!!! LOL

I don't understand WHY oh WHY are they using a system that has serious flaws and clearly the CMs have not been thoroughly trained to use!!!!!

Thanks for posting about the system being back up! :):worship:

I just called and got everything I wanted!!!!!!!:cool1::banana:

Now I have to sort through all the other back-ups I made and see what to cancel (only 2 to cancel). The only one I couldn't get on the requested day/time was Cape May. Had to keep the day I had with a 7:30 pm dinner. That's late for us, but we'll take it.:thumbsup2

no fears everyone - if you don't get your ressie's keep trying. people do cancel.

we did - we thought we were going to do the dddp and since we're dvc members we don't have to tell them we want the dining plan until a few days before we arrive so we didn't have to pre pay it.

well 2 weeks before we're due to drive down my van breaks down and the cost to repair it was more then buying a new one (ok old one but 2 years younger then the one that died) so we had to spend a ton of money on getting a new van we cancelled about 10 of our reservations (including Tep Edo sp, Chef de France, Cinderella breakfast)

so keep on trying - ya never know

Just a little follow-up.

I called about 10AM to DVC and got a cast member who actually took a few minutes and researched the problem. She reported what others here have, that there was a problem with at least 10 restaurants in the system.

Called dining dept late yesterday and problem was fixed. Got a few more of the ones I wanted, but still no Mama Melrose/Fantasmic. Oh well, either we'll walk up or won't go this time.

The moral of the story is the cast member at the dining center was nice, but absolutely no help. The DVC cast member was much more helpful.

My experience was the same on Friday--- dining center was no help and not nice but the DVC CM was great and extremely helpful and got all the ressies I wanted! Love my DVC :lovestruc(and no toll call).

I had the same issue last week, I gave up and had my TA do them.
I was called over and over again for certain places and was told they were in the system yet. I was very annoyed.

I couldn't stand mama melrose... I just watch the second showing of the Fantasmic. Of course with only two of us, it's easy to find good seats.

Always try like the week before you leave, because there's usually cancelations then. Since most people will wait till the last minute to cancel, just incase there's a ray of hope that they're going to make it.

I called a week before, made a hotel reservation for 2 nights, with the dining plan. Got ressies at Chef Mickeys (9pm seating) and lunch at Crystal Palace for 2pm. And the lady I talked to had just said she was checking a few minutes ago for CP for the same week and didn't find anything.

You never know what you can find. Don't think you can't get anything after that first day.

Hi all
My 90 days is tomorrow as a DVC member would prefer to phone member services .Could any one tell me what time they open tomorrow
thank you
Janet
