I'm sure if *anyone* had been watching, it would've been amusing, seeing me lying half-awake in bed with my cell in one hand and regular phone in the other at 5:55 a.m. this morning - waiting to call in my ADR's. Even funnier is knowing how so NOT a morning person I am. I'm better off staying up all night than trying to rouse out of my slumber at that type of hour... I've always said, only Disney can get me up and out of bed that early!

Needless to say here's what my family of 6's dining plan looks like for our upcoming trip:

Wed - 11:25a Akershus Princess Storybook Lunch
Thur - 5:10p Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic! Dinner pkg.
Fri - 5p Chef de France
Sat - 5:10p Chef Mickey's (non-park day)
Sun - 5:05p Tony's Restaurant
Mon - 5p Maya Grill
Tues - 4:10p LeCellier
Wed - 10:30a O'Hanas Breakfast

My first choice for LeCellier was Friday but even calling at 5:59 (6:59am EST) at the 180 day mark LeCellier was all booked for dinner for a party of 6. DH was blown away, but it made me feel a bit justified in calling right away (he made fun of me for planning meals for six months from now!).

I know most of the rest of our choices aren't necessarily hot spots and September isn't necessarily busy but it's nice to have out of the way and done! We're only trying three new restaurants this time around (Chef de France, Tony's and Maya Grill). My family is kind of picky (kids are find with chicken strips all week if I'd let them! and DH is all about meat (steak) - NON seafood eater) and we don't spend much time seeking characters out in the parks so that limits us to character meals and the tried and true restaurants.

With that said, I have one more night I *could* book in or out of the parks - any suggestions?

I have to laugh because you have described me to a t!

For our upcoming family trip I was actually IN WDW on my Girls Annual Trip at the 180 day mark and I am sure my friend was annoyed at having to listen to me on the phone at 7 am. Would up with EVERYTHING I wanted at a decent time which is no small feat with a family of 6.

For our 2006 trip I got everything I wanted except a decent dinnertime for LeCellier - 4:10! but my family LOVED, LOVED it so it was still worth it.

For our 2003 trip I had spend the night before in the emergency room with my mom but did not let that stand in the way of our Illuminations Cruise!!

For our 2002 trip it was pathetic how many mornings I was up attempting to get a CRT breakfast!! and I failed but at least the kids needed to be up by 7:30 for school anyway. (anyone remember Howie and the CRT scandal?)

For our 2000 trip I was happily ignorant and only booked Chef Mickeys - ROFL...little did I know back then but it made my life easier not knowing.

I would love to hear about this scandal!!

WELL - there was a group of people (who were called "The Breakfast Club" who would get up everyday and make reservations for CRT at exactly 7 am and then give them away on a first come first serve basis to another group of people that signed up for "help". A free service by the way.

One side of the story was that they were angels helping to make little princesses dreams come true and the other side of the story was that they were evil people that were snatching CRT ressies out from underneath the feet of poor, poor sad little princesses whose only desire in life was to eat at CRT and now they would absolutely die because they couldnt.

The people who were outraged by the "gifting" of these reservations found out the name of the man who originally started this thing up and actually started to call his place of business with death threats and I believe all talk of this practice was "disappeared" from the dis shortly thereafter....oh and a Disney Guidebook author had her booked trashed on Amazon because she was part of it.

It was a real interesting time period to say the least.....

(looking up to the sky to see if a house is about to fall on me!!!)

Oh - one last thing.....people REPORTED this to Disney and shortly thereafter is when they started requiring a credit card hold for it......coincidence or not - YOU DECIDE lol!!!!!

The OP is me too:rotfl2:

My DH didn't realize how much I had planned our previous trip (because he had already left for work in the am ) and now that he's retired he's just amazed at what I can get accomplished before 7:00 am. :thumbsup2 :worship:

It's just the two of us, so its a little easier to book a table for 2 than to book a table for 6 but here are the ressies I got:

1st night - Rose & Crown with seating for Illuminations (hopefully)
2nd day - Brown Derby with seating for Famtasmic
3rd day - 1900 Park Faire for character breakfast and HDDR for dinner
4th day - Contemporary Grill with seating for Wishes (DH's 60th B'day)
5th day - Lazy day - maybe Blizzard Beach - no ressies
6th day - Keys to Kingdom Tour (Columbia Harbor Hse) - Raglan Road for dinner
7th day - Breakfast at Boma
8th day - Breakfast at Kona
9th day - Lunch at LeCellier
Day 10 - Home UGH!!

I don't think I've over scheduled and with this schedule it will hopefully be relaxing too. Do you think I should make dinner ressies for the 7th and 8th days. Suggestions?popcorn::

Oh yes, I remember the CRT "angel" scandal! lol...

and Kona sounds good - I forgot about that one - hmmm... maybe for our first night!

Well I'm on other end of this laying in bed thing I'm just getting home from work and trying to make Adrs in my half awake state or as was case this am sitting in car letting defroster defog windows and making adr :)

I'd like to recomend the 50's Prime Time Cafe - meat, I believe ther are chicken strips, very little seafood, no characters but still a lot of fun interaction with the waitress/waiter and possibly the whole room if you get a good waitress/waiter. I looked at the ages of your kids and I bet they'd get a kick out of it.
