ADR's near to park closing time query

Hi there. What happens when a park (eg AK) closes at 5pm (we are going in November when it does) and you have a TS ADR for dinner. Do you have to be finished and out of the park by 5pm or do the restaurants take bookings up to 5pm and close later?

Same for any park which closes around 8pm - is there only ADR's available up to a certain time (eg. latest is 6pm for example) so you can be finished and out of park by closing at 8pm.

Hope you understand what I mean Thanks in advance.

From what I understand, they will just tell you to leave the park when you are done eating

We did this at Tusker House after reading about it on these boards

AK closed at 7pm, I think our ADR was for 6:45 ADR. The park was reasonably emptied out and we rode EE a couple times s/b before meeting DH at that little outside bar at the Tusker House where he was talking to his new friend, Rob There were several families waiting by the podium to check in, but it wasn't too long a wait. Our dinner was pleasant and we weren't rushed in any way.

When we finished, it was after 8pm and it was twilight, several CM's had flash lights directing us like we were an airplane on a runway, I suppose to make sure we didn't wander off in the wrong direction.

It was actually very cool to walk over the bridges and through the oasis with nobody around us. When we exited & headed towards the WDW bus area, there was a CM waiting with a bus right infront to take us and some other guests already boarded back to our resorts. I think we waited until a few more people showed up and then the bus drove everyone back to their home resort - lucky us were the 1st resort on the special route

The only thing about dining AK at the end of the day, you probably don't want to be riding Kali River Rapids before dinner

Thanks for that AK closes at 5pm when we are there in November so I was wondering how people made ADR's for dinner as they don't start till 4pm(ish), leaving only an hour before park closure!

We quite fancy Tusker House/Yak & Yeti so it's good that we may be able to enjoy our dinner there after all

You're welcome I would encourage you to make your ADR as late as they will allow and enjoy the experience of getting to exit the park after closing hours
