let you know if they were going or not. We (3 of us) will be there Jan 5-9. There is the possibility of someone else going. I feel like I need to go ahead and make ADRS tho. This person has already had 2 weeks to make up her mind. No word. I dont want to call her. I think the rest of us are secretly hoping she wont go at all. I figure no news is good news.

Call the person and say they have one week to make up their mind. If you don't hear from them in that amount of time, you are going to make the reservations without them. If they change their mind later on, give them the dining reservation phone number and have them change everything to add themselves.

YOu could make reservations for 4, and then if she is a no-go, just go to the restaurant and say there are only 3. You are going at a quiet time, WDW will be happy you show up at all.:lmao:

With a few exceptions, tables seat 4, not just 3. I would book for 4 people.

I agree with both suggestions. If you feel like you need to make ADRs now, book for 4 and change to 3 if needed. If you really want to know if they're going or not but don't want to make any more contact, I would leave it at "hadn't heard from you in over 2 weeks about it so I took it that you weren't able to go". At that point, you can *try* to add another person and see what happens.:rolleyes1 Another thing to think about is lodging if you're all staying together.

I would just make the ressie for 4 and not worry about it. If she goes, she goes, if she doesn't she doesn't. I you really don't want her to go, I probably wouldn't even ask, just wait until she brings it up and let her know the plans.

So if I 'plan' for 4 and she doesnt come would it be better to

1. just have the 3 of us 'show up'

2. change the ADR later. Would I run the chance of losing the ADR as can happen when you call up and add more people?

unless the adr is a credit card reserve/prepay i would not change it if she does not come

Most restaurants aren't going to charge for a no-show - so I would just make the ADR for 4 people and leave it like that. With 3 people you are most likely at a table for 4 anyway.

If you are planning to eat someplace that will charge you for a no-show - like CRT - then tell her you need to know now. If she's still not sure, tell her you'll make the ADR for 3 and if she decides later, you will try to add her.
