ADRs for V&A?

Anyone ever get into V&A not at the 180 mark? Just curious because it turns out my MIL may be able to babysit one night while we are in WDW end of April and my DH and I would love to do some fine dining. We do have ADRs at Jiko, so we could use that as our date night, but V&A sounds spectatular. Wasn't sure V&A was one were tables open up sometimes and it is worth calling multiple times to get in.

Two things.

V&A does not do ADR's, which are really Priority Seating where you get first available table, but do real reservations.

The first seating is done over about a 45 minute span, so everyone does not show up at once and you are given a specific table in the restaurant. The second seating is about 3 hours after the first, again spread oveer about a 45 minute period. This allows people about 2½ hours to dine and still have plenty of time to reset the table.

Since the ultimate capacity of V&A is 67, and they normally have about 45 Guests at a seating, it is usual to be able to get a reservation as close as two days out.

Had no trouble at all getting a ressie for 2 for next weeks trip when I called in January - could have had any time I wanted.

I have been able to get reservations for the same day I wanted to dine a couple of times. It all just depends on what day and time of year you will be dining. Sometimes they don't offer the second seating and it might be a bit more difficult to get a short notice reservation.

From personal experience, I've never had a problem getting into V&A less than 180 days....I've booked them more than once less than a month out from when I want to go. That being said, I do understand that if you are looking to do the Chef's table @ V&A's, that you DO need to book 180 days out b/c it has a tendency to fill up quick since they only do one per night...
