ADRs for Spring Break

At the last minute, we decided to do two days at Disney for Spring Break (for us, two weeks from now in March).

I thought I'd take a chance at getting us reservations for character meals. I was able to get breakfast at Ohanas--they only had 3 seatings left. I was also able to get breakfast or lunch (my choice) at Hollywood and Vine because they had most of the day open!!!!!!

After reading about the necessity of advanced reservations, I was really surprised that I got the two meals I wanted. At Hollywood and Vine I had my choice of times, too! (I went for an 11:00 lunch) Wow!!

Why do you think that is?

Have a great trip. Not to many people want H & V so I guess that's why you got it.

I called 2 weeks ago to try and switch 2 of our character breakfasts around and there was nothing available for the Donald's Safari Breakfast and the Norway Princess Breakfast. When I made the ADR's around the first of Feb. we had our choice of what we wanted except for CRT of course. We are also going on Spring Break. I think it is going to be pretty busy.

I got all 5 requests for ADR's I had for trip two weeks from now, that I called on about a month ago. Not as late as you but still on the late side. I also got "normal" times. My restaurants are Kona, Flying Fish, Rose and Crown, Boma, and the Wave.

When I called 5 months out last year for October ADR's last year, I was not able to get a single restaurant I wanted at a normal time. (We did eat at two very high demand restaurants Califoria Grill and Le Cellier, but also ate at a few lesser in demand restaurants.)

The time I traveled in October is considered a very slow period.

I really think the economy is having a significant impact on Disney. While it may not totally affect crowd levels, I do think people are scaling back at least on their dining.
