Need some advise! I scheduled a Fantasmic Dinner Package ADR at H&V. The latest they had available was 4:10. The show isnt until 9pm. Then I saw pictures of the Sci Fi and I know the kids will LOVE it, so I scheduled lunch ADR's there for 11:30. That's not a lot of time between meals. Will we even be hungry for the H&V meal?? Really, the only reason I scheduled it was to get the Fantasmic package, so I'm wondering if I should cancel it and just try to go to Fantasmic without the package. We will be at MGM on Tuesday, May 30 (TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY OH MY GOODNESS!!!). There are 5 of us total, 3 kids: 5,8,9. Any thoughts??

I was in your situation in December, with those exact restaurants and times. My husband and I split a reuben and onion rings at Sci-Fi, but at 4:10, we were still not hungry. So we checked in at H&V at 4:10 and asked the CM if it was possible for us to not be seated until later. She recorded us as being checked in and then told us to go do what we wanted to do but come back no later than 5:15 if we wanted to make Fantasmic. So we went off and did RnR and ToT, and came back at 5:15. By this time we were hungry. We were seated promptly and made Fantasmic with plenty of time to spare. My children and husband liked the food at H&V.

Interesting....I may try that. Has anyone else ever had ADR's for a certain time and then asked the CM for some slack? I'd be interested to see if this happens often.......

disneymom72--You may want to consider stopping at H&V when you enter MGM on your scheduled dinner day. They may be able to "move" your reservation at that point. On a trip a few years ago we tried before our trip and through dining from our resort room to book H&V with Fantasmic to no avail. On the last day of our trip we decided to take a chance and I stopped in at H&V in the morning. The waitress/hostess told me to ALWAYS check at the restaurant. They have a lot more info on what they can/can't do than the dining reservationist (although they do their best). We have done Fantasmic ADRs at H&V, MM and next month we're trying BD. Our meals have always been on the early side. Good luck! IMHO the Fantasmic Dining Package is a great deal!

we have 12:50 ADR's at Sci-Fi and 6:30 at H & V. I'm trying not to obssess over my ADR's because H & V has gotten so many poor reviews lately. We're also going to Alfredo's which appears to be up & down.

We loved Sci-Fi on our last visit. The atmosphere was dark and cool, a plus in August, the waitstaff terrific, the movies hysterical and the food good. Can't ask for much more except, oh yes, IT'LL BE FREE!!!!

H & V, being a buffet, I figure there'll be something everyone will eat, right? :confused3

Keep telling myself: " No changes - NO CHANGES!!!"
