I have pretty much narrowed down which places we would like to dine for our TS meals on our first trip. This is all very different from DLR. I understand when and how I can make my ADRs. I am guessing, at prime locations, such as BoG, waiting for phone lines to open may not be wise?? I was playing on the WDW, making a dummy ADR (did not complete it), just trying to see what the process is, etc. Is it possible to add an ADR to your "cart", then, continue "shopping", so you can make more than one at once? If so, once added to your "cart", is it saved for x minutes before being released to another party, such as baseball tickets? I have a few I would like to make, that I understand are quite popular: BoG, Ohanas (B), 1900 (B), and Chef Mickey's (D).

Thank you for your help :cutie:

I've not made any with the new system, but previously you had to complete one res before making the next one. There was no cart where you could store things.

Also, some people have posted that until you actually complete the reservation it's not yours. They've posted that they had a reservation info on their screen, wanted to talk to someone about the res and by the time they got back to complete the res they found it was no longer available. So if a res is "saved" for xx minutes, it's a very short time.

Pretty much, everyone else will have a 1 hour head start if you wait until 7est for the phone lines. At some places, it's not going to matter, but the ultra-popular ones, especially at specific times, very well may.

Each reservation is it's own transaction. There is no cart, there is no hold. You CAN use multiple tabs on your browser to do them, but not sure if that would actually save any time or not.

The back-end seems to be roughly the same, just with some front-end user interface changes (just recently made mine for my Oct trip). It's a bit fancier now...and requires more clicks to get through it (why do UI designers think that people ENJOY clicking through 15 pages to get to what used to be 1...)

Thanks for the tips!! I will just get up at 3am & stress until its complete!! Lol. Which, in your opinion, would you do 1st after BoG: Chef Mickey's 730pm or Ohanas 930am? I am a bit more flexible with the Ohana time, as that is our check out date, and we will have an afternoon flight. After those two, I will do 1900 before I can calm down. :)

Not sure how popular Chef Mickey's dinner is, it's doesn't seem to be that hotly contested around here (I haven't ever tried for one personally, so I have to go by 2nd hand info). I'd say that of that list, BOG will be the only really difficult one to get, unless you're super inflexible about the other times. 'Ohana, Chef, 1900 would be my order, but it's not likely to matter all that much if you're in there as it rolls over.

If you call, then we can hold multiple reservations in your "shopping cart".

I'd try to get BOG 1st online and then if you are unsuccessful, go for whatever else you want on your 1st day. Then be ready to call DRC at 7am EST.

If you are staying on property, you can, of course, book 10 days after your 180 day start. I'd try for the last day or close to that of your resort stay. That is what most guests are doing.

And now my PC is being a butt so I will stop typing.
