We are going to Disney in May, and already have our ADR's. It will be me, my boyfriend, and 2 year old DD. I have a good friend who lives in Orlando, and she, and her fiance are planning on spending the two days with us in the park. We made all of our ADR's for 3 people. The CM on the dining line told me that if we have one extra person show up it wont be a problem, but if two extra people show up we may not be seated. My friend doesn't work on the weekends, so she will be there. Her fiance is going to try to get off work. On the days they will be with us, here are our ADR's.
Saturday- Boatwrights at 5:30-- I figure with an early seating adding a couple wont be a problem. I don't really want to eat here, so I am going to try, and talk my boyfriend into either eating at a CS at the park. This is our arrival day.
Sunday- Kona Cafe at 9:40
Crystal Palace at 7 something
My idea is to call, and make an ADR for 5 under my name (all our adrs are in my boyfriends name) That way if my both my friend, and her fiance are with us, they can eat with us, and if they aren't we can keep our original times.
The dining CM said if I make a ADR for 5, I can't downgrade it to 3, they would have to make a new ADR for 3 people, and they may not have it anymore. She also told me that if I show up with only 3 people, and I have an ADR for 5 they may not seat us.
I don't want to spend the day with my friends, and then say, "oh we are off to dinner, you are on your own". They are watching my DD one night so we can go out to an adults only dinner, and we wanted to treat them to a few meals to say thank you.
Any advice?
