I had 2 reservations i wanted to cancel and thought i give it away to another Diser before i call ADR's, on my Sept thread. I have had this reservations for while. Another Diser pm'ed me for this reservation and i was more than happy to call and change it to their name. It was for party of 4. When i called, the CM told me that it was for party of 3 not 4. I was :scared1: saying there no way, since there are 4 of us going. Although thank goodness, i had a different reservation for that same day, but i thought, here we go again, another mistake by a CM and for months, i was thinking it was to be party of 4. I know those CM work hard and i am sure they get stressed by heavy phone calls, esp for during free dining period, but their mistake can impact on our vacation. This is the 3rd mistake for my weekly dining reservation , that i am going in 20 days. The 1st one was the date, and the other was # of party, and now the # of party AGAIN!!!! The 1st mistake, luckily, was able to change to the right day in due time, when the the 2nd mistake happened, i was fuming since it was for LTT, suppose to be party of 4 but CM put 3 and they couldn't change because it solid book and i am going to just fight my way to get in LTT that day for an extra person, saying THEIR mistake, not mine!!..but that another matter.:furious: :furious:

Why don't Disney do online reservations for WDW dining??? That way, we can see it and change it ourselves. I don't even have a paper proof other than just some confirmation # and relying on the CM that they did it right over the phone. When you have Hotel ressies, Car rental ressies, Airlines, etc..you have proof on paper to see your ressies. Why can't Disney do the same for dining???? It would certainly put the guests at ease.

When DCL started the online dining for Palo's resturant and excursions, it was great!!! Sure there were few glitches, but at least you can see what available and what is not whenever you want to check in and you are able to print up those ressies!!

I think this is getting so out of hand with all those CM mistakes. Disney can certainly make it easier for themselves to do online dining so that if a guest dispute a reservation at the resturant , at least you could show proof!!!

I am sorry for venting, and there more than to be angry about, in this world, but it just sorta puts a damper on your vacation plans and we are not even there yet but thanks for listening!! The Diser's are great!!!

i dont understan why they just cant add another chair:confused3 Usually if theres a party of 3 there usually room for one more. Sorry you had to deal with this but luckily you called, otherwise it would have been a big mess the day of. Take care.

That's exactly what i said..... but because of fire laws, certain # of guests allowed in resturant, blah blah blah!!!!:sad2: which i can understand..., but uh, HELLO, if i can see it online for the wrong party#, i would've immediate take care of it... if you didn't make the mistake in the first place!!!

My understanding is that they are in fact moving to an online reservation system very soon.

Personally...I CAN'T WAIT. I am asked more than 10 different questions before I am even able to ask if the restaurant has spots open...then I find out they don't. Let me just do it myself! :surfweb:

I agree. I like this idea. If I can just print out the date, time, location and # of party, I don't need anyone to make my ADR for me. I hope they have it set up so that you can't make more than ressie for the same day/ time though. It doesnt seem fair to double book. Just make a commitment, or risk the rejection of being a walk- up. Its only fair:goodvibes

I would think that Disney will have some type of system "quality check" available to nab some/most double bookers who make reservations on-line. Maybe your ADR reservations will be tied directly to your resort reservation number for on-site guests.
