I am starting to get a little concerned that my DD will have a hard time finding food that she will eat on the child's menu. She is a hot dog, chicken nugget kid at a restaurant. I can get her to eat plain pasta (no butter or sauce) at home since there is no option she eats what I make for her steak, chicken, pork but there is always a fight. Obviously I don't want to fight over meals on vacation. How hard is it to get chicken nuggets or hot dog at a restaurant when it is not on the kids menu?

I have no intention on feeding her only hot dogs and chicken nuggets but there are some restaurants that I know she will not eat anything on the menu, like the fish or mac and cheese.

Also on the menu's where there is a kids pick option (to pick app, entree and dessert) is she able to pick that on the DDP? If yes, then would she be able to pick the salad option and order only cucumbers? (i know crazy, but she is a kid!!)

Thanks again

Don't worry - they will accommodate you. Disney restaurants know how to feed picky kids - they see them all day long. She may get sick of mac & cheese, nuggets and hot dogs, and at that point maybe she'll be willing to try something else. I even read somewhere that some restaurants have those frozen PB& J sandwiches when all else fails.

My son is the exact same way. He'll try things when HE wants to. Mostly in WDW he eats chicken nuggets and fries, pizza or hotdogs.

If a restaurant doesn't list nuggets and fries on the kid's menu, just ask. Most likely they do have it and only serve it on request.

Thanks for the replies. I was starting to worry that I would need to do my ADR's based on the kids menu alone. As long as I know I can get something for her I know DH and I can get to try some different restaurants.

I could have wrote your post! My dd is 12, and is not liking the adult menus at all. She will probably eat her twin 3 year old brother/sister's left overs!!

Don't worry they will fix her right up, we have been to several sit down places where she could choose from different meals and mix them up if she wanted too
