Honestly  I think 3 TS is so much food. I understand that's how to get the most bang for your buck on the DxDDP though.

As far as the choices, we've been to some on your list. The only one I'd get rid of is Planet Hollywood. Mediocre food with a fun theme.

We were very surprised with how much we enjoyed Olivia's- best steak of the trip. :thumbsup2

What should we do instead of the 3 TS a day? Signature meals are not an option the others going don't have anything nice enough to wear. I've done the math on not doing the dining plan and we come out ahead with the dining plan.

Planet Hollywood and Teppan Edo are the only ones they have asked for. The rest is what DH and I are wanting to do.

I hear Teppan Edo is terrific!

I don't think you have to be all that dressed for the sigs but to get the most for your money, 3 TS a day is the way to go. :goodvibes

Please don't be afraid of the Signature restaurants because of the dress code! The code is as follows:

Dress Code Guidelines:
Men: Khakis, slacks, jeans, dress shorts, collared shirts. Sport coats are optional.
Ladies: Capris, skirts, dresses, jeans, dress shorts.

Not permitted in dining room: Tank tops, swimwear, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing. While T-shirts are now allowed, the policy remains that T-shirts with offensive language or graphics are not acceptable.

A nice pair of shorts or jeans and a collared sports shirt is all that is required and many people do not dress that well.

We do the deluxe plan when we go and find that a 1TS at noon and a 2TS Signature meal in the evening is the only way to go. We use our two snacks for quick breakfast items.

Where are you staying?

The one and only restaurant on property that has a dress code is Victoria and Albert's at the Grand Floridian.

So it doesn't matter about what they are wearing as long as it's not REALLY inappropriate - which I hope that they wouldn't be wearing to start with!

SO you might want to do is consider doing at least one or two signature Dining Experiences.

Cinderella's Royal Table would be one where everyone is dressed in theme park clothes - pretty much the same with Le Cellier for dinner.

There tons of different options - like Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian, that are casual in nature, but due to the menu, they are Signature Dining (Lobster, Grilled Salmon etc)

Three sit down meals a day will definitely leave you guys very full!

Have you booked this through an agent? Are you DVC members?

Thank you for help with the dress code. I guess I'm just concerned because we are all tshirt and shorts type people. I also didn't know if beer or Nascar tshirts would be considered offensive or not.

I'm concerned with your lack of sleep and time spent traveling between parks and hotels! 9pm dinners mean not back to the room til 11 and then a 7:45 ADR means that you need to leave hotel (if using disney transpo) by 7. So you will have to be up and ready by then! EEK! ALOT of eating too. Make sure you figure out your time schedule. You are looking at an hour transpo each way and 60-90 per meal. Some days you are at 2 different parks and a hotel that is not in the same area.... it will really limit your park time. We do Dxdp but we only do 2 meals a day and we try to align our location with our meals. Signature is not fancy. It basically means more expensive and higher quality food so 90% of the time if you dress normal in the parks you'd be fine.
Also, are you not planning any evening entertainment? Because the times you have dinner will not allow for any of them.

PS- Planet hollywood would be a big thumbs down from me!

We are staying in Kidani Villas.

Nothing inappropriate just Nascar and beer tshirts for the most part. As far as I know they don't own any collared shirts.

We are thinking about doing the Hoop and I wanted to do the Yachtsman instead of Captains Grille.

We have booked the room thru AAA. Haven't added the dining plan on yet.

Thank you for the concern of our lack of sleep. Breakfast is at our resort expect for Cape May Cafe. Although it may not look like everything is planned for the park that we will be at or close to the park. Not really into evening entertainment.

If you plan on avoiding signatures (and quite honestly except for maybe Cali Grill and Narcoossees, just wearing NASCAR and beer t-shirts might leave those wearing them feeling a bit out of place) have you considered going down to the basic DDP then maybe paying for HDDR OOP? I only ask because not only are you eating 3 TS meals a day, but you also have all those snack credits, which can be tough to use up along with 3 TS meals a day. Plus dropping down to just 1 TS leaves you a bit of wiggle room incase some of your party decides they want to rest a day or 2 in the morning or afternoon.

My other bit of caution I would give is that 7:45 Cape May breakfast. At that time BC can be a pain to get to using Disney transportation at that time. You have to get a bus to DHS and then either walk or take the boat from DHS to BC. You really should be at the bus stop no later than 6:30 which may not be easy to do if you aren't going to make it back to KV until 11.

What would we do about the other meals if we did do the basic DDP? I really don't want to stand in line for the CS and then have the chances of not being about to find seats. Them feeling out of place is the main reason I wasn't planning on doing any signature meals. The other party is the ones that suggested staying out so they can see as much of the parks as possible. This is their first trip and more then likely will be there last as well.

Cape May is the one that concerns me as well. I had thought about changing it to the resort we are staying at or the park we will be in that day. On average we sleep 3 to 5 hours a night.
