To link your reservations to your disney booking and take advantage of being able to book 10 days worth of reservations 180 days out you need your US disney booking number.

I booked with disney uk - rang them and they were able to give me the number I needed - ring Virgin.

Without the number you can still make reservations online or by phone 180 days out. I did mine online - it is very easy to use.

Planning wise

1. Have a look at menus and see what appeals - allears and wdwinfo have menus - some of the menus are also on the official wdw website - click more details for each restaurant and there is often a link to the menu.

2.Try and plan your days and fit your dining in eg so you go to a MK restaurant on a MK day. Touringplans.com has a busy day guide I use to plan. Park hours should be out 6 months in advance.

3.Don't underestimate travel time. Restaurants in resorts take time to get to using disney transportation as you can't go direct resort to resort.

4. Don't just go for most expensive to get best value from DDP. If you fancy some character breakfasts do it.

5. 8am breakfasts work well as you get in the park and can get nice pics before opening. Think about timing - don't book an 8am after a late night, don't book things that clash with any parades/fireworks you want to see.

We like character meals as we have a 4 yr old and also meals with something a bit different entertaintment or theme wise eg sci fi - eat in a car, WCC, ohana, teppan edo.
