Me and DFi are planning our first disney trip together and it's only 4 days away. We're not looking to eat in the parks only at a few places in downtown disney like planet hollywood and rainforest cafe. My last trip was last September, and it we never booked reservations the whole time. Understandably it's busier in June, but will we be ok just turning up and waiting for a table. We don't mind waiting like 30 mins for a table, as we don't really want to be restricted by dining reservations unless totally necessary.

Thanks in advance :D

When there was only two of us, we always found it easier to eat at the bar in rainforest cafe rather than wait for a table

as there are only 2 of you you may be lucky! Me and DH have often walked up to Rainforest cafe and not waited too long, same for Planet Hollywood where they will usually let you wait in the bar so that you can have a drink until there is a table ready :goodvibes

Thanks, that's what I was hoping

If its only 2 of you then it should be ok.

Ive also found if you call Disney Dining in the morning, or visit guest services when you arrive in the park they can often accomodate small rables like yours :)

we've never had a problem in places like the Rainforest Cafe when there were only 2 of us, in fact we were there at Easter a couple of years ago and they were turning people away with a 2 hour wait, we were seated immediately.

I've also had success booking on the day via the mobile app for the more popular places.

Thanks, any nice restaurants you know of that are nice for couples?

A lot of the signature restaurants are perfect. California Grill at the Contemporary being the best in my opinion, but unfortunately that is closed at the moment. Artists Point at Wilderness Lodge was also great when me and my girlfriend went......

If you would prefer to stay in the parks there are many great choices in EPCOT: Le Cellier being one.....I also found the patio area of the Rose and Crown to be a brilliant choice to eat and then watch Illuminations :-)
