are adrs easier to get at 180 days than 90???going for free dining in august and wondering if they will be easier to get....

I just posted on another thread where lots of folks were reporting much luck with most, if not all of their ADRs.

I couldn't book CRT online this morning. I called reluctantly to schedule for early July for DD's birthday and was shocked that I had my choice of B, L, or D. Though dinner was a very early dinner around 4:00.

This was for our party size of 6.

I figure if I can get the mecca of all ADR's (I've heard on the other thread that folks were having little difficulty getting le cellier as well)--then you should be totally fine.

IMO it is a lot easier. Many (if not most) people don't realize how important it is to get those ADRs made ASAP - they think "it's 6 months in advance" and then wait awhile. At 90 days you have a lot more people who are planning and ready to make ressies.

I'm very happy they went back to 180 days!

I woke up way to early and was able to get all but one ADR including Le Celliar and Cinderella's Royal Table ( for 8) for the July 4th week. A couple days later I went back and was able to get my last reservation. This was my first time booking and found the system great to use.

that is what i was thinking...my 180+10 is smack in the middle of my jamaicia trip in feb....last year went crazy at 90+10 at 6 am...was able to get everything but this year will be a few days late...the other thing i was thinking is that free dining wont isnt available to gen public then.

I called at 7:40 am on 1/6/10 and it took me 20 minutes and had all of our ADR's for July without a problem. Now I have called back to change our last night's ADR which is at Planet Hollywood and wouldn't you believe I am having trouble changing the time from 5:30 to 6:00 or 6:15. So I keep calling back everyday.

hadn't thought of that!!! My 180 is early March & Free DDP for the gen public isn't usually offered until early April. I, too, love being back to 180 days.

When we went to WDW last August, I had heard about the bounceback offers. I posted on the site "why would I book bounceback for this year if I wasn't going to save any money for doing it?" There were 2 responses:

One was room/resort preference would be guarenteed, or as guarenteed as it gets with WDW.

And two- booking my ADRs at the 180 d mark. As soon as I calculated that I could book my ADRS in February I knew that I had to book bounceback. I am looking forward to being able to book without the chaos and stress I went through last year!:wizard:

You are spot on about the chaos and stress. When I heard they were going back to 180 days I was thrilled. I remember making our ADR's for our previous trip when it was 90 days out and trying to get my times and having to rearrange our schedule was stressful. I was on the phone with the CM for over an hour. This time 20 minutes done made me a very happy camper.:yay:

20min! What a dream!!! I am so looking forward to that! I had to plan my ADRs on a flow chart last year.... "if I can Le Cellier here, I'll try and another day and time". "If I could get Le Cellier there, I'll try another day and time." Then my park plans had to change over and over. Ugh. I must have made a dozen calls to WDW. And that was before online ressies! Yup, 20min sounds like a dream!:yay:

Oh, that sounded just like what I had to do. Thank goodness I have long distance on my phone.

I was reluctant to do the on-line reservation thing and in a way I am glad that I didn't. When I spoke with the CM she stated that she has more access than the on-line reservation system does. What's nice about the phone ADR's is they now put all of your reservation times in a shopping cart and then they give you all of your confirmation #'s at the end. This way they are all saved instead of doing them each individually like they did the last time I called. When they do each one, you have a chance of not getting a time for the next ADR that you would like. This way, 1,2,3 all done. The time spent on the phone could have been less but we chatted a bit too.:rolleyes1
