Well, I am getting closer to finalizing our ADR's for our March 2012 trip. We are not on DDP. Have debated long and hard about adding this. We don't qualify for free dining, so it has been a struggle deciding. Have even gone back and forth about only doing QS dining plan, but we have too many TS that we would like to either return to or try for the first time. Tell me what you think! We are family of 4 disney "adults".

In no particular order of preference or timing of our 7 night trip.

O'hana - dinner

Le Cellier - lunch

Teppan Edo - dinner

1900 Park Fare - dinner

Cape May - breakfast

The rest of the meals will either be QS or in the villa.

Any I should get rid of or any others that we should try?

Thanks!

I would dump 1900 PF...the food was horrible

If you have a hibachi place where you live then dump TE too....the food is good but the value isnt...you cannot get fried rice and they do not give you a shrimp appie, soup and salad like the local places do

I'll disagree with the above poster and encourage you to keep 1900PF; the food was not bad when we went and the experince is wonderful.

But I'll agree that you should drop Teppan Edo. Especially since you are not on a dining plan, you want to use your dollars for the most uniquely Disney experiences. 1900PF is. Teppan Edo is not. You can get the same "entertainment" portion of the experience at any teppanyaki-style Japanese restaurant anywhere in the country, and you will get far more bang for your buck food-wise at any other similar restaurant. IMHO you can do better at several Epcot CS locations for less than half the cost.

O'hana - dinner A family favorite of ours! Must do every trip

Le Cellier - lunch I very much LOVED my meal there last trip. Dh wasn't awestruck... enjoyed his meal but didn't get the hype other than the maple creme brulee which he LOVED!

Teppan Edo - dinner Good meal but honestly I like our local Japanese steakhouse better

1900 Park Fare - dinner Only been for breakfast but their food was good but the service and characters were VERY rushed for breakfast

Cape May - breakfast haven't been... have dinner slated for our next trip ;)

Sorry, I disagree 100%. We love it there and it is a must do for us every year. This next trip we are hitting it once for breakfast and once for dinner. The atmosphere and characters just add to the whole experience. Leroy it, then decide for yourselves if you want to do it again in future years, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I don't think it is worth it to go to 1900 Park for dinner BUT it is DEFINITELY worth it to go to 1900 Park for breakfast. The characters can be funnier and more entertaining at dinner but the food is better by far at breakfast. The characters aren't bad at breakfast either. We enjoy Teppan Edo. While there are better hibachi restaurants near us, we enjoy Japanese food and enjoy going there. Enjoy your vacation and good luck planning!

I agree about ditching 1900 Park Fare for dinner. We had our worst experience of all time in a WDW restaurant at that place. Not only was the food bad, but the service (especially the rude hostess who screamed at me) was the pits! OTOH, we did have a lovely breakfast there the year before.

I'm sure the Cape May breakfast is wonderful, but we love the dinner there. It's been consistently excellent every time we've gone.

So I would switch the 1900 PF dinner to breakfast and the Cape May Cafe breakfast to dinner.

I would change Teppan Edo for something else, unless you have not been to a Hibatchi restaurant before. If you have not, it would be an experience and the food is decent. If you have gone to Hibatchi, then you will be disappointed in the portions for the price.

I also agree about 1900 Park Fare. We enjoyed the characters there at breakfast and the food was good too.

I'm not a 1900 PF fan, the atmosphere is icky to me. I have been 3x, everytime I was disappointed, at the last visit even my kids said they weren't fans. If I had to chose I like the dinner better because the step sisters are funny.

I have to agree with this...The atmosphere was horrible. It felt like a very "institutional" dining room. The food was very cafeteria style and the character interaction was nothing special. For being in Disney, there are a million other places to go.
