So I want to call tomorrow to make some of my ADRs. Our 180 day mark started Friday the 9th. So here is my issue, my parents will also be going to WDW with us, but they live about 100 miles away from DH and I and we haven't been able to sit down and say lets eat here and here, they don't care about planning stuff, they would probably just go without ADRs lol.

So should I make the ADRs for 4 people so that I can make the ressie, to get a spot, and then call them back as soon as I know if they also want that ADR? Or will they not switch it like that, would it have to be a whole new ressie meaning I would no longer have that time?

I assume that would be better than saying 2 guests and then calling back to say 4, would make it harder for me to keep my ADR time.

Any advice? I've never called for ADRs before. :confused3

I made my ressies for 7 at the 180 day mark. About a month before our trip, my SIL and family backed out of the trip, leaving us as a party of 4. I did not call to change any ADRs but simply told them when we checked in at the restaurants. They changed the number in the computer and it was no problem at all.

In my experience with non-planners, they will be happy to do whatever you plan the majority of the time. Make them for 4 and if you have to show up once or twice as 2 it should be okay.

Okay so they aren't going to turn us away if we were to only show up with 2? like if my parents decide not to join us at a certain reservation (they like to wing things). I just didn't want them to be like, "oh we had you for four, and we aren't going to sit 2 people at a table for four"
