Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I’ve been trying to get a clear answer on line and the wording keeps tripping me up. I’m pretty sure all the context is that if you have a reservation for, say, lunch at Be Our Guest, Disney is affirming you won’t be able to use to the restaurant unless you have a park reservation for Magic Kingdom.

my question is: When I go through booking ADRs 60 days prior, do I need my park reservations established at that point? I want freedom to choose any day of my trip if Space 220 is available for lunch (lofty dream I know) and not the one day I’d plan to be at EPCOT to start.

(Note: Park reservations for mid May are all free which is why I’m okay with the flexibility of not locking in my park days just yet)

No, you don't. You will, of course, either need a park reservation when you go for your reservation, or have the ability to park hop to that park.

No. Disney presumes that you've read the park admission info and realize that at some point after booking the ADR, you'll buy (or already have) tickets and will make park reservations, or you've an AP and will make that park reservation.

As mentioned above, you could also Park Hop to a late lunch or to dinner at BOG since you can only hop after 2:00 p.m.
