Garden Grill( lunch time)

Chef Mickey

Yacht Club.... think its the Gallery.

do you think this is too many charter experience for a 12 y/o.......... or are they good meal and the charter will add to that?

any advice
Thanks

My son is 13 and we have ADR's for Chef Mickeys, Cape May, Donalds Breakfastosaurus and Crystal Palace, but i think he is more interested in the food than the characters, he asked to go to Chef Mickeys but that is because he loved the breakfast pizza last time we went. It all comes down to the individual child, some 12 yr olds think they are too old for characters and some still love them, will your son want photos with them or will he be embarrassed? We also have a one yr old in our party so the characters will make more fuss of her than my son. I've seen adults with no kids at Chef Mickeys so i think that one's a must, ask your son what he thinks about the others.

My son is 12 and loves character meals. For one thing, they are either buffets with lots of kid friendly selections or have menus that seem to appeal to kids. And I think kids of all ages enjoy dining with Disney characters and getting into the spirit of things, sometimes more than they will admit! I do know that my son would probably not dine with Mickey here at home where God forbid somebody he knows might see him, but at WDW he enjoys it very much!

I completely agree that it all depends on the child. When our son was around 12 he was pretty much OK with character meals. Not long after that he was no longer interested in them.

When he was 12 and younger it was worthwhile going to buffets because he could always find something to eat. As he got older he started getting pretty brave about trying things off the menus.

Also please note that the restaurant you are referring to at the Yacht Club is the Galley. It's a nice quiet place that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

How about Sci Fi for lunch one day. I would think a 12 yr old boy would like that. We do! Great burgers and sundaes!!!!

I would skip the Garden Grill and go over to MGM for either Sci Fi or Prime Time.
