How long do you normally wait on hold to make and ADR? I called at about 7:01 AM and thirty five minutes later, I am still on hold.

Does anyone know why they ask you if you have been to WDW since 2003 when you call?

See thread above LOL. I think that one minute cost you some time. I was on hold until 7:18 calling in at 6:58.

It is 1 of the busiest weeks of the year so expect longer then normal wait times. I got lucky and got right through. But I was told there were 172 in que at 715

Marketing. to see how much repeat business they are getting

A couple minutes after my first post, I got through. I was on hold for 35-40 minutes. I think my mistake was pressing the button for guests that have not been there since 2003 (last trip was 2002). The ADR rep told me that they allow extra time for these calls. Many people do not know how Disney Dining works and they need time to explain it to them. It was no big deal. I did not want Cinderella's castle and I got all of the reservations I wanted. If I knew that, I would have opted for the after 2003 since I have done my homework and am familiar with the DDP.

I called at 6:58 and just hit #1 twice bypassing all the marketing hoopla and went straight to the head of the line. I got a stunned not-quite-awake CM and was on the phone with him for 20 mins doing the ressies for our 10 day trip over Thanksgiving. At one point he paused and asked me if I had waited at all...which I hadn't....because he said he was showing 69 people on hold for 15-30 minutes. Ouch.

I got everything I think we want - but without the November hours being posted I'm sure I'll have to redo a few things when they ever do publish the calendar.

I was going to call at 7:00 but I had to run upstairs and get my wallet. I needed my credit card for Hoop Dee Doo.

I got everthing I wanted.:thumbsup2 My sons each picked a restaurant and my wife and I picked the other four. We are eating at Hoop Dee Doo on Thanksgiving. Our other choices were Ohana, Le Cellier, Coral Reef (DS7), Chef Mickey and Sci-Fi (DS12).

If y'all think the wait times for ADR calls is long now, just wait till the hours are posted for November. Most of the people who have alread made reservations (guessing about park hours), will be calling back to change some of their times when they finally get to see when EMHs are scheduled, as well as park opening and closing times, parade times, and big show times.

I bet the phones will be very busy for a few days when (if) those hours are ever posted. Seems to me like Disney has created a bit of a monster here.

I've never had to wait long when calling for ADR, but I never call first thing in the morning so maybe that is why. I've always gotten what I was looking for so I never saw the need to call bright and early.

The only time I've sat on hold a long time is when I DID call right at 7am to book the Food and Wine Festival Events.

Me too - 7am doesn't exist in my world and I see no need to get up that early just to make dining reservations. Never had a wait and always get what I want! :goodvibes

I also wait until later in the day or early evening to call and have gotten right through. Gotten all my ADRs too.

I thought the exact same thing, so I made ours for Thanksgiving week on Saturday. I may change, and I may not, but we have ADRs! I do think I made our Sci-Fi ADR during the parade, but life will go on. I think.

FWIW, I called on Saturday morning at 7:28, and I waited 3 minutes. My CM was friendly and seemed to know what she was doing but wasn't chatty, which was fine with me. I made 13 ADRs in 15 minutes.
