Does anyone know the approximate number of tables retained for ADR?

I tried (so far without luck) to get an ADR for our December trip on the 9th at Chef Mickey's. We plan on doing the MVMCP that day so we were hoping to eat at Chef Mickey's so far it is fully booked. Anyhow as it is the Christmas party we were hoping to eat early at CM. If we turned up early lets say 30 min's before opening what would be the chance of getting a table? are most of the tables reserved for ADR therefore making a walk up pretty much non-existent?

I think all of the tables are available for ADRs. The only way you will get a walk up is if no-one made an ADR for that time.

As far as I know, they don't hold any tables for walk-ups. All are available for ADRs. If restaurants are fully booked, they just turn you away.

It's possible, though unlikely, that you could get into CM if you arrive before opening.

Chef Mickey's is a very popular restaurant to begin with. Add in the Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom and there are a LOT of people who have the same idea as you.

You can certainly do a walk up but you will have to be prepared for the chance that all the tables will be booked for either right at opening or within 15-30 minutes of opening. If that is the case, you will have to wait until a table for your party size is done eating.

You could get lucky and someone of the same party size doesn't show up and they will have a table available. But that's a lot of factors to count on and it would take about an hour to find that out.
