what does it mean by May 26 the DRS system will be retired???? this is in the sticky!!! where is a swearing smiley when you need one, I ask!!!! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!!!



I think May 26th is my ADR day, we go Aug 23??? Will I be able to call I am totally freaking!!!!

I have NOT been worried about this new system, because I have had in the back of my mind that I can call if I want. Plus, there has been reports( from TA's) that the system does not do bigger parties over 7 &sometimes 9 HDDR

If you arrive on the 23rd your ADR day would be May 25th! Just FYI . I arrive on the 24th and my ADR day is May 26th!!

Or, to put it another way, I'm sure Disney will let us know the address once it's actually live, whenever that may be. Until then, it's a waiting game I'm afraid - but I'm guessing you'll be able to get to it from the Dining pages on the disneyworld.com site.

No, there is nothing definitive as yet to the best of my knowledge. 26th May is just a guess.

I wrote several months ago that I didnt expect anything to be made available BEFORE 26th May - but that's not to say that it will be ready on that date either.

There is no definite date, and I don't expect there will be. Disney isn't going to announce it is coming, IMO. It'll just show up quietly.

There are two theories. May 26 is one, based on that being the final conversion date from the old system to the new. ADRs prior to the 26th have to be made in the old system, so only ADRs from May 26 on will be available through the online interface.

The other theory is the 18th. I've seen a couple people hint/state that it will be available then, but I haven't seen the reasoning for that theory. I do tend to agree with it, though, because before the delays a TA friend said they'd received an update that the system would be online for TAs on one date and open to the general public a week later. Granted, that was months ago, but if they kept the same timeframe for roll out, that would support it becoming available on the 18th.

You know, I could SO see them trying to rush this out to help with the onslaught of calls with free dining next week (so they don't have to add staff...)

But that's the VERY reason I'd rather they take their time, test it out and DON'T roll it out during a time that is likely to have extrememly high call volumes....

Or maybe if they figure we're all getting the dining for free, so we won't have high expectations?????

Interesting - I never would have noticed that if it wasn't pointed out since I just access it from my User CP. I did notice that when I first started reading it that it was on the general restaurant board, then it moved to the Dining Plan board, which I thought was strange, since it wasn't Dining Plan specific. But then I subscribed, and didn't notice this next move!

One of my fellow agents, got up very early this week to test it. She confirmed it is rolling over at 3:00 am. This could certainly change, but that's whats happening now.

Yes. At 3 AM the new date appeared. Eastern time.

Well, that's what I was afraid of. I guess I'd rather have that and have a slight advantage if I get up in the weeeeee hours of the morning. But then I have to be up at 7 eastern to book BBB.........

I'm not exactaly sure how that makes it more convenient.....
