ADR System Upgrade - History

Well, I like everyone else was disapointed about the move from 180 days to 90 days for the ADR system and was positive it was going to impact my ability to get the reservations on which I had my heart set.

Yesterday was my 90 day mark and I overslept so it was almost an hour into the call-center day before I got through and still I got every reservation that I requested. No problems at all and I literally made 20 reservations including some really popular places like Le Cellier, BBB, several signature restaurants, 3 tours, even a pool cabana at the GF. The same CM was able to handle all of the reservations with no problem so I didn't have to call multiple lines. It took a while to process them all in and you have to repeat your credit card information for EVERY one that requires a guarantee but all in all it was a snap and I finished feeling very relieved.

So for all you uber-planners out there, like me, this is just a note to stop stressing about the 90 day window...and good luck, but I don't think you will need it!:goodvibes

AWESOME...thank you for the info!!!:cheer2:

I believe they are working on this feature but it is not available yet.

Reservations by phone is the only option right now

ooohh tell me more about the pool cabana at GF? do you have to be staying there? is this for outdoor massages? i have a big birthday coming up and this sounds interesting.

Online reservations are not available yet. Unfortunately, there is no word on when they may launch this feature.

So are they goiing to end up keeping the 180 days or will it end up being the 90 days in the long run? I am still not sure of that and want to be because while I am all set with ADR's for our March trip we have another trip planned in Sept and with free dining during that time I really wouldnt want to miss the ADR window by not knowing.

Another question that is probably not in check with this topic. If I already paid for a reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table but then we decide to switch over to the dining plan, do I get the money back for the ressie at CRT? I booked it way out when we were first allowed to but now we are thinking of adding the dining plan so I am not sure how that works now.

Thanks everyone.

ADR's made! Whew!! Now if those darn May hours would just come out I can rest assured knowing I won't need to make any changes!

It is our first time staying at the GF so I can only tell you what I've been told:

You do have to be staying at the GF. They are lovely little cabanas that have recently been refurbished. They have two pool-side chaises outside, a little dining table with 2 xtra chairs inside, plus a tv and a fridge stocked with soda, juice boxes, and fruit. Private dining also delivers to them. You can reserve them for 1/2 day (10am-2pm or 3pm-7pm) or for the whole day (10-7). I believe the pricing was $60 for 1/2 day and $110 for the whole day. There are some great pics of them and all of the complete information on the "Resort" board--click on the thread for the GF and then run the search for "Pool cabana".

Have a great birthday!

To reserve a cabana you need to call (407) WDW-PLAY on your 90 day mark. I've been told the 90+10 rule also applies for the cabanas should you rent one for several days of your trip.

We rented one last June for a whole day and had a fabulous time! They have DVD players with a list of DVDs available, stocked fridge with sodas and juice boxes and a huge bowl of fresh fruit on the table. You also get a cabana attendent for the day. We had Amanda who was just wonderful. She checked on us all day even played ball with the kids.

I've heard that they have now started delivering beverages from the pool bar!! :goodvibes Must be a waitstaff available for drinks? :confused3

If you're staying at the GF, I highly recommend a cabana day! :beach:

:confused3

Yes even if you are on the dining plan you still have to guarantee the reservation with a credit card. So it´s no difference.

Does anyone have a consolidated list of Character Breakfast options?
Princess Buffet - Akershus
1900 Park Fare
Chef Mickey's
Crystal Palace
Lili & Stich @ 'Ohana
Cape May Cafe
Cinderella's Royal Table

Did I miss any?

THANKS!!

I'm helping a friend plan her trip and her son is turning 5 next month. I'm guessing that he would like Chef Mickey's or Lilo & Stich. Definitely not into princesses :)
