ADR System Upgrade - History

Do I call 180 days or 90 days. Not doing Chef Mickeys or CRT or A&V. I keep hearing both dates. Thanks. Going in Sept. Fist date is March.

There is a temporary exception to the 90 day rule. CRT, Chef Mickey and Victoria & Albert's can apparently be booked up through June 19th 2009. This is a fixed date, and as soon as it's 90 days prior to June 19, they will be on the same 90 day schedule as all other locations.

This is a LONG thread so I don't know if it's been posted, but I've read a few reports on other boards that CMs were not making this exception and now booking everything at 90 days out, those 3 restaurants included. It may be a matter of CM interpretation and they may not be actually checking their system to see if they can book them. I dunno. If you're trying to book further than 90 days but before June 19, I guess keep trying back until you get a CM who will do it for you.

I'm with you on this one. I felt that I could get an ADR for Cindy's in Sept because I'd be making said ADR in March. Now that I have to wait till June (after free dining is announced and booked) I probably don't stand a chance. It makes it even worse that the only day we are going to MK is the first day of our trip & people who book the week (or 10 days) before me will already be booking on the day I plan to go.

I don't think I'll have trouble with most of my ADR's but Cindy's sure seems like a stretch now.

We still have plenty of availability prior to 19June for Cindy's and it has been open for booking for months!!!

remember, if you get DON, hang up and call back! he won't check anything and doesn't really know whats going on, it seems.

I called this morning, we are checking in 4/3. Shocked, we got everything I asked for, WCC, Le Celier, Sci Fi, and Brown Derby. I wasn't even on hold and got right through at 7 this morning.

I just booked Chef Mickey's for June 19th just the other day and the CM I had said that is the last day they can book CM's for 180 days out.

So not sure why others have had problems they are honoring 180 days for those 3 up and including 6/19. Now I could not book Chef Mickey's for 6/20 through the rest of my vacation (origianally wanted to go on the 22nd of June) but the 19th was fine.

I was able to book Ohana's and Beingarten (sp). for 4/11 and 4/12! I was very excited. It is more than 90 days out. I wasn't able to book any more that week though.
We are checking in on the 11th.

Congrats on getting your ADR's before 90 days (I tired for my checking date of 4/6 and no luck yet).

This is what frustrates me SO MUCH. I don't mind a change in systems but keep it consistent for everyone. WHY or WHY????

CM's are human an unfortunately make errors. The CM who made the ADR's for 4/11 and 4/12 was wrong.

Long ago when a mistake was made like this it wouldn't affect anyone.

Now with the internet and message boards, when a CM makes a mistake like this the information is readily shared. Not all CM's will make this mistake, and it can create stress for others wanting the same 'service'.

I would seriously not worry about ADR's at all - even if it was me who is going soon. There are very few problems with ADR's. Even decent availabiity for things like CRT in February and March.

If I remember correctly T-Rex opens up it's advance bookings this week. As we book with them direct rather than via Disney do you know if they will also be working to a 90 day window? Or might they still be 180?

From what I remember Rainforest was 180 because it was not through Disney Dining. If that's true, T Rex would probably be the same.

Yes - policy is now 90 days from the 1st day of your WDW resort stay.

When you 90 day mark arrives. You can make ADR's from the frist day of your arrival through the 10th day of your stay.

So you can make 10 days of ADRS starting with day 1 of your WDW vacation, IF you are staying at a WDW resort.

Use the website: http://pscalculator.net/pscalc.php to calculate your date, or just call WDW dining and they can tell you your 90 day mark.
