As if we all don't have enough to worry about 3 days before Christmas right?? Now we could be stuck on the phone for hours trying to make ADR's! Maybe I should plan a present wrapping day for that day so I can be occupied while I wait on hold!!!!

Or like the day the new buy 4/get 3 free promo came out! My estimated wait time was 2 minutes but I was on hold 58 minutes!

Wow, really. I called the day it came out too and got though as soon as the automatic message was done talking. Waited only a couple of seconds. Guess I was lucky.

Hey me too! We'll be at WL from 3/19-3/26!

I can't get myself into total planning mode because I can't make ADRs for 1/2 my trip. So far I've only made the 1 ADR for Le Cellier.

I actually had CM and CRT planned for the beginning of my trip but got so antsy I made those for the end of my trip and switched them with two other's so I could book more ADR's ASAP!

I only have 2-3 more to make. I have 5 booked already!

I thought the same thing, when I looked at the calendar! That's why I have been doing everything early, I have gotten my first rough draft of schedule finished, can't do anything else till parks hours and events dates come out for June. But at least I am ready before I get sucked into Thanksgiving, Xmas preparations.

So on Dec. 22. all the end of March, April, May and June people up to June 22 will all be calling trying to book times? It's going to be crazy!

Yup. Then add that to the fact that it's a brand new system, which the CMs have only just been trained on, and which presumably can't have been stress-tested to anywhere near this extent, and I think a meltdown is on the cards.

What they really need to do is to soft-launch it gradually and without any fuss, but that's hardly what the ADR-hunters will want to hear, and it would be very hard to do it fairly (just look back a few pages in this thread to see the confusion that happened when the available ADR dates were extended to 22 March). The moment they do anything, the news will be plastered all over the internet - such as here, for example.

Oh, and if it does go live on 22 December as currently rumoured, at least that's the start of a nice quiet period at WDW... yeah, right!

If the new system manages a full week without something crashing, I'll be very suprised.

This sounds awlful. I think I will call member services to make my dining since it's an 800 number. We haven't decided if we will do the DDP in May. I'm waiting to see if we get our ADRs first, if not, we'll skip it. I think it should be done in stages first.

This is another reason why I'm happy to have such a great TA. I don't even have to worry about making my own ADRs. Well...only after I start playing the ADR shuffle.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I have a question about the new ADR system... I just booked my April 09 vacation and I had figured that I would be scrambling to get ADR's since I am under 180 days out... but the CR I talked to said that they weren't taking any ADR's till Nov 22 due to the new system... I'm confused... That means that on Nov 22 there will be a ton of people calling WDW Dining in the hopes of getting their ADRs? Is there a new online way of doing it? I haven't found any info on here about it yet, so I am sure I am just looking in the wrong place because I KNOW Dis'ers are on top of all the Disney info the moment it come out...

Should I be starting to get worried about our August honeymoon? We're doing DxDDP, and food is kinda our main priority. I really want to be able to get my ADRs. They seem to just keep pushing it back and pushing it back.

This is an understatement. Once the system is running for a period of time, the bumps should work themselves out, but in the beginning it is going to be crazy.

I just talk to a CM to rearrange a couple last minute reservations.
We are going again in April so I asked if I should bring my info. on this trip, in case the ADRs open up. She said I should.
REALLY?!
Any chance I will actually have to make reservations for an April trip?
Should I stop by the concierge everyday to see if they opened up?

If it's not a huge problem for you, I would stop by at least every other day to be sure. I have been calling every week just in case. I don't want to miss out on the few ADR's that I do want.

I can see the possibility of April opening up (through the 22nd) if they are pushing the launch date back again. That seems to be a pretty reliable pattern that they've been following since they started the upgrade. They'd likely open up through April sometime between November 22 - November 26
