ADR System Upgrade - History

Good to know- we're going April 3rd-6th and wanted to make a couple ressies, but wasn't sure if it would be time!

To clarify, it's time to make reservations for those three specific places. Chef Mickey's, Victoria & Albert's and Cinderella's Royal Table. The others will all need to be waited on.

If i leave March 28th what reservations can i call and make now?? I see some people say i cant make reservations, and then some people are getting reservations for certain things? Is it just character meals?

You can make reservations now for any meal through March 22nd. From March 23rd on you can only make reservations for CRT, Chef Mickey's and V&A (following the 180 day prior rule).

I got through at around 3:30 pm, the system was up & running. Got ADRs for our character meals and Boma, then DD decided spilling a glass of iced tea all over herself was a good activity, so I'll have to try back tomorrow during nap time for everything else. I was able to get all the times I wanted, except an hour later than I really wanted for Princess Storybook, but we had a large party (7 adults & a child) so it wasn't surprising. Otherwise everything seemed pretty open.

I do feel bad for those Dining CMs...between all the confusion over what can & can't be booked...and the system crashing...the woman I talked to definitely wasn't having a magical day!

We leave the same day. The only thing we can make reservations for are Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table and Victoria and Alberts. Everything else we have to wait for some time in December.

Thanks so much, but may i ask what exactly is Cindarellas royal table, is that the one in the castle? I guess i should know these things, but im a disney newbie And does CRT take DD plan??

Yes, it is in the castle and it's 2 Table service credits each on the DDPlan. (Disney newbie here too! I just spend alot of time on the computer)

but what happened to the November 21 date was given a month ago from a CM. Has something changed?

Yes it's been now pushed back to late December. So now they are taking ADR's up to 3/22/09. Everything after that has to wait until late December.

We are going in April but were gone for the weekend and I was afraid I missed out on my ressies. I have been checking this website everyday but since we were away I had no computer access.

Glad I didn't miss out yet.

I was able to book today for our stay Feb 23-March 6. I got ALL our choice restaurants and times including 2 ADRs for Le Cellier (one for a party of 15 and another a party of 17) both for dinner. I am over joyed!

I hear ya!! I always heard that people put so much into planning these trips but never thought much of it. Boy did I get an eye opener!! I'm not used to having so much planned out ahead of time.

I think an update was posted today that it got pushed back to November 21

That's what I was told when I called to make a room reservation today. The CM I talked to said they were going for training "soon." He also said that it was not going to be online reservations at that time. Why knows

The CM I talked to this morning said that the online reservations were hopefully going to be up and running before the holidays. That was the hope of Disney to get it started by then.

She said it should really be a good thing once all the kinks are out.

Hey, I talked to a guest today who was confirming whether she made her Le Cellier res for a party of 15 or 17. Wonder if it was you I talked to. Too funny!

She also said it could be sooner then Dec 22nd and to check back in early Dec!!! Ohhh... the insanity!!!!!!

It's very confusing. What the Mods have planned for this thread, to help everyone, is to continually update the first post with the most current information. When we update it, we'll make a note in the title that it's updated as of ...."

We have a dining CM who graciously tells us the instant she sees anything on her computer screen updating CM's of an upcoming change. So we are usually ahead of the curve on learning about updates.

I just wanted to pop in and say a big THANK YOU to DisneyDine and the DIS for having this info. DH called yesterday morning, and we got everything we wanted at the times we wanted.

3/6 - dinner at Boma
3/7 - lunch at Kona Cafe & dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern
3/8 - lunch at Yak & Yeti and dinner at Le Cellier
3/9 - lunch at Le Cellier

Yikes, Dec. 22. That's so close to the holidays, such a busy time for so many people. a long wait on the line could be a real hassle. And that's the first day of my kid's break - I could be sleeping in, LOL!!!

I also made reservations this morning for April 27th and 30th at CRT and CM (we are arriving on the 25th) and the CM also told me December 22nd! I just feel grateful that we got the two reservations that I was able to make and I'll keep my fingers crossed for the others. I'm hoping they open it up in stages.

We are staying off-site so I can't call in the 10+ window - I have to wait until this Wednesday to call for CM at exactly 180 days. (April 27) I hope I can still get a good time! December 22nd stinks - but I guess it gives me that much more time to plan out our itinerary and wait to see what happens with the P&PP dates. Luckily I'll only have one kid home from school that day.
