ADR site "down for maintenance"

I wonder what they are doing to the website?
It's all related to computer upgrades for Aulani I think. As Disney4Shaw posted, there's been a notice on the DVC site:
"The opening of Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas, Ko Olina, Hawai`i is on the horizon! In preparation for opening on August 29th, Member Services will have limited system capabilities from 9 AM - 1 PM EDT on June 7th. Self-service functionality on DVCMember.com will also be unavailable during this time frame. Please watch DVCMember.com or call Member Services for exact hours and updates about the integration as new information becomes available."
I'm just assuming the dining system is being upgraded along with the DVC system. Sucks, tho. I REALLY don't want to make ADR's over the phone, and it sounds like making over the phone isn't going to be qa peice of cake, either. :mad:

I don't want to make ADR's over phone either. I like to see what is avail myself. Hopefully, we will be able to do that

Since we only have 15 minutes until phone reservations open, I'm thinking the site has a less than 0% chance of being up in time.

I called & they we not able to make my ADR's. They said to call back @ 11:00am

And my CSR told me "no earlier than 11:45." Sigh. In other words later, but no exact time.
 
Man... I was bummed when I saw the message. I so want to make our ADRs! Guess I will have to try to make them starting around noon. I can't believe it's down to 180 days! :banana: It can't get here fast enough!

That's what I love about Disney telephone CM's - consistency! Seriously, no matter what the subject, you never get the same answer two phone calls in a row. They're all kind and cordial, and helpful as they can be, but they're never consistent. In this case, they can't know when the upgrade will be finished, but wouldn't it be nice if there was a unified message going out about when to try again?

Sorry for the rant, but this just pushed one of my Disney buttons...it's one of the reasons I'm glad I'm in DVC with our microscopic number of points. They're much more reliable at Member Services, or at least they seem to be. Unfortunately, they don't open as early to make dining reservations, etc. so when you need to 'beat the hoards', you still have to call the regular number.

Ok, I'm going to feed the children (all 4-legged) and then get some paying work done.

Oh, and they told me 12:00, and that they had specifically asked if the online ADR system and their system would both be back up at the same time, and that no one knew. It would depend on how it went.
 
What time can you call to make ADRs...earliest...when do they open? Can you do the 180 plus 10 with the online ADR system? We can make ADRs on the 24th (that's 180 days from check in for us) and we're wanting to get Le Cellier for Christmas Day...so I want to make ADR ASAP...if I can do it online on the 24th...what's the earliest I can do it and how does it know we can do the 180 plus 10 (staying on site)?

You can make your ADR's 180+ 10 days out, you just need your conformation#. Online system lets you start @ 6:00am. The phone lines open @ 7:00am.
 
Well, one bright note...if no one can use the ADR online system AND no one can call in to make ADRs, then the availability will be the same once the system is back up and running.

And just maybe they are also fixing the Fantasmic Pkg online page so you can get these online too!
