I've never been turned away but I have had to wait a long time once for a table to open up.
you can modify an ADR like you can a fastpass, see if there is a 7:15 and keep checking the same day. I've moved an adr in a full restaurant as much as 2 hours by modifying it after getting it in the first place and with as little notice as a few minutes.
Thanks. There is no time to change it to. I have showed up late as well but never had adr when park was closing but then had emh after. Not sure what the policy is
I don't know about the EMH part, but I would never purposefully show up 15 minutes late for an ADR. 15 minutes is also the maximum amount of time that they would hold your reservation.
50's Prime Time will close at 7 pm that night. Personally, I wouldn't risk it. If the fireworks are more important, why not see them and then make a reservation at one of the EP resorts? Or eat somewhere prior to the fireworks?
The policy varies with the restaurant. Some restaurants will stop seating when the park closes so even if you have a reservation, if you show up after park closing you will not be seated and you will be charged the no show fee. Others will continue to seat during the early part of EMH. I think you need to choose between the Dinner reservation and the fireworks.
