My sister & her husband are supposed to be travelling with us next month to WDW. At our 90 day mark I made half of our ADR's and she made half. Now they may be cancelling their trip. I have three questions:

(I'm sure this has been asked before, but I didn't pay attention ...) If my sister cancels will her ADR's still stand or do they automatically get cancelled?

If there is a potential problem keeping the ADR's can you get the name on a reservation changed?

Lastly, we have a reservation at CRT (in my name). Since this is a restaurant that requires a credit card guarantee, if someone in your party is a no show (ie. four people show up for a reservation for 5) will you get charged for the missing guest? Should I amend our reservation if my sister doesn't come?

TIA!

I'm not sure about CRT...if you are a total no show, you will be charged, but if you're just down 1 or 2 people...they may not charge you for them. If you know for sure your sister is not going and there is a table appropriate for the new size of your group, I would amend it out of courtesy.
As for ressies under her name - I don't think it matters..if you know the name and the time they will seat you. I actually showed up at Chefs De France to find that someone had stolen my reservation - they must have just looked at the list and pointed to a name that was the size of their group! I was seated anyway....

Bumping for the evening crowd ...

I will probably call about the CRT ressie if my sister cancels. I'm just nervous about having a CM touch our reservations! (I've heard so many people say the fewer times you get them to access your ressies the better!)

BTW, I can't believe that someone stole your reservation! That is bloody nervy! I'm glad you were still able to be seated.

CRT will charge you for the no show. I had the problem last year. Worse yet, when I tried to change from 8 to 7 they wouldn't let me do it. Sorry - don't have any tables for 7 available. It was about a week before the ressie. So, I sucked it up and kept the original reservation, paid for the no-show and learned my lesson.

Ugh, great! I can just hear it now "sorry, we don't have a table for 4."
Would it be wrong to ask my sister to pay if she cancels & I can't change the reservation?!
Thanks for the heads up!

To answer your first question, anyone can make an ADR ie. you don't have to be staying onsite, so yes -- her ADR's will still be there.

As for the ADR's made in her name, there is no reason why you can't still use them -- the party does include your family. But you should have your sister call and change the name on the ADR and the number of people.

As for CRT, you would be charged for the no-show. If WDW Dine can't find you a smaller table, then I don't see why your sister shouldn't pay for the no-show. It's no different than asking you to buy her a concert ticket and then deciding not to go. But I would check first. And check again. And again. And again. Lots of people juggle their ADR's so a table for 4 might become available later, especially as you approach the 45 day mark for your vacation when people have to cancel their packages.
