ADR problems

We are going September 9th to 15th. Today is 180 days out. When I tried to book ADR's for Sunday,Tuesday and Friday at MK for dinner it only goes through lunch. Those days are MNSSHP nights. I was looking for 5pm, which is 2 hours before party starts. Do you guys think because they are party nights that the problem? We have never had a problem making dinner ADR the nights of MNSSHP before.

Could it be because the park is closing at 6pm instead of 7pm?

it is sounding like MK will be closing at 6 instead of 7 for day guests like Disney did for Christmas parties so table serves are not serving dinner or at least not to day guests and since party tickets are not on sale yet no dinner bookings

only if you are planning on going to party and have tickets for that night as the park is closing at 6 not 7 so it also possible that table serves may not even have dinner those nights as most party goers do not eat dinner in the park taking time out of their party time. so I would plan on dinner somewhere else maybe a monorail resort if not planning on going to party. Disney tried 6 closing at Christmas parties last year and appear to be doing that now for Halloween so I would not expect what worked other years to work this year

I speculate that we will see more times open up once the party is announced. That being said, last year they introduced a section on the website's dining area to specifically make dining reservations on MNSSHP (and MVMCP) nights IF you had a party ticket (or were planning on buying one). They very specifically shut non-party guests out of the later ADR times to, probably, not have them linger over dinners and be wandering the park after the party started. I don't know when that cut-off will be this year. I know last year when we attended MNSSHP, we were able to eat at Skipper's right at their closing (which was 6 pm that night - they took us as walk-ups and I don't know if they would have taken us if we hadn't had party tickets) and on our MVMCP night, we ate at Skipper's (with an ADR made through the special MVMCP ADR page) at 5:30 pm. With MK closing at 6 pm on MNSSHP party nights, I'm going to guess that getting a 5 pm ADR without a party ticket (or the intention of buying one at a later date) is not going to be an option. Again, that's speculation on my part.
