Hi! Can I take a quick survey of those who go to WDW regularly?

We're arriving on a Sat. and the flight lands at MCO just before 5 pm. We're renting a car, not using ME, and staying at CSR. Do we realistically have a shot at making a fun character ADR around 8 or should we just punt and eat at the resort? My kids are 5 and 8--I suppose we could get them a snack on the way to tide them over, but maybe it's just not worth the trouble and possible risk that a flight or traffic delay will require us to cancel the ADR?

Funny you should ask but we are going on the 11th and staying at CSR. We'll be getting there earlier - around 2:00PM. We are going to do CS at Pepper Market the first night. I think you should be able to make it to yours in time but it might be a little rushed to get from the airport to the resort then to a restaurant without being too stressed. If the kids have had a long day they may not be in the mood for too much stimulation at a character meal that night. We like to have a little more quiet/relaxing meal the first night whether it is CS or TS but it has also been a long time since I have gone with kids - and these were just my niece and nephew.

When we stayed at CSR in June, our flight landed around 4 pm. We opted to have dinner at PM that night and were glad we did! It was very relaxing after a day of travel. And the prime rib with a horseradish drizzle served with grilled veggies and a baked potato was perfect as we were starving! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I really don't want to be rushed to get checked in and then to a reserved dinner. I think we will opt for PM. I appreciate the feedback!

I remember our first trip. We had to "do it all" and that meant traveling all day, checking in and racing to Chef Mickeys for a dinner ADR. Man, were we grumpy! :rotfl: For us, it was just too much. :upsidedow
