I hope this is the right place to ask this.
We are leaving next month for my daughter's "Wish Trip". She is 12. She is completely tube fed. We have several ADRs planned for our trip. Should I let them know ahead of time that she's a non eater? I have no problempaying full price for her but was also wondering if the offer a discounted rate for kids like her?
Thanks!!

Wow..good question! Maybe you should call Disney and ask. I think if you explained your situation, they may be able to accomodate. Getting a CM on the phone to have all the correct answers is sometimes difficult. I would ask to speak to a supervisor. If the supervisor says no, then I would feel comfortable knowing that is probably the correct answer.

Have a gret trip!

They won't charge you at all at most places. For character meals they often have an entertainment charge that they can charge you instead of a meal price but it's at the manager's discretion at each restaurant. I don't think calling ahead will make a difference as it really just depends on the mgr on duty that day. If you will need anything specially prepared or need items they don't regularly have on hand then you should contact special diets at wdw and they will give you a form they fax to the kitchen staff. In general they are very accomodating and will most likely not charge at all but there may be somewhere that does charge you something. Have a great trip!

You may want to post on the Disablities thread-there is also a thread for wish trip families. You may get better answers there.

There is not really much they could do ahead of time. Until you are there, they have no proof that the child really does not eat beyond the tube feedings. When you do arrive ask to speak to the manager, explain the situation, and see what is said. At this point they can physically SEE what the situation is. Most likely, they would then wave the fee for her or possibly charge you a lower amount "entertainment fee". Both have been reported in the past.

Sorry, when I posted earlier, for some unknown reason, I thought you were asking about the dining plan. I know when you purchase the dining plan, everyone in your room needs to have the same plan. I thought you were asking if there was an exception for someone who is a non-eater.

If you are paying out of pocket and your daughter doesnt order anything, then no, you wont be charged. You only pay for what is ordered!

Have a great trip!
