ADR just prior to MVMCP-not attending party Q

I think I know the answer to this but I'm looking for reassurance :goodvibes:

I've made an ADR for LTT for 6:50 p.m. on a night where the MK closes at 7 p.m. for MVMCP. We will not be attending that party.

If I understand correctly, there shouldn't be a problem getting seated for that ADR even though we won't have party tickets. After we're done, we'll just have to leave the park (of course). Does my understanding seem correct?

Will we be escorted out? Will that be embarassing (like we were trying to sneak in without paying? lol) How is that situation usually handled? I tried to assure my BF that it won't be security taking us by the arms and dragging us out, but I am curious how that's handled.

I have all my planning done and nothing better to do with my Disney planning time than to worry about these type of things :rotfl:

Yes you can keep your ADR, and yes you will be escorted out of the park. Typically a CM will walk you and maybe a few other people out of the park. You won't be dragged out by your hair, but you won't be allowed to linger either.

Usually, the Disney Castmembers will for a line or group and check everyone as the leave or enter each one of the lands on down Mainstreet.

I have never seen anyone escorted out because they were along Mainstreet after dinner. I would imagine that they would want you to shop.

I don't know about the parade or fireworks time. Maybe they might be looking along Mainstreet curb. I recall this on one cold night when before a parade, a Disney Castmember asking guests if they could see our MVMCP armband under their and my coat sleeve.

I guess that the Disney Castmembers seem to herd people out of the park in a nice way.

But I have heard people talking in a parade that they didn't have MVMCP arm bands. And I have seen people later in the night that didn't seem to have arm bands riding the rides. But that was a long time ago.

Last time that I went, Disney Castmembers were checking everyone getting on the rides.

But this is just my limited experiences and I don't know what the Disney policy is with escorting people out.

Just to clarify, last year at MNSSHP (similar in set-up to MVMCP) they were checking wrist bands in the shops as well. Once the party started, non-wristband folks were not allowed in the stores. We had to show our wrist bands to get into the Emporium.

This is correct. Plus, we have had first hand reports of guests that have been escorted out by a CM. Usually they will have you wait until they have a few parties ready to go and then you will be taken directly to the park exit. They won't prod you, but you will not be allowed to linger.

If you do not have a ticket to the party, you will not be allowed to enter any of the restaurants, shops, lands, and possibly bathrooms once 7PM comes.

Thanks for the update about the escorts and shops. I didn't know that, but I never really paid that much attention to it over the last ten years. I never like to plan a dinner that will take time away from the MVMCP events. I usually plan a late sitdown lunch. I also like to enter at 400pm instead of 700pm when they start handing out bands. Have they changed that, too?

That's how they were still doing it last year.

That's good to know. I don't why I like to get a MVMCP wrist band at 4pm since I have and annual pass. I guess that I just like to go ahead and get one instead of waitning in a crowded line inside the park.

I'm usually in the park already on a regular park ticket, and like taking care of getting my wristband early so I can avoid all that mess on Main Street.

Thanks for the responses!

Glad to know that my 6:50 p.m. reservation will be fine. I thought it was a good way to stretch our stay in MK out a bit more that day.

We're attending a MVMCP later in the week, so I hope we don't see too much on the way out that would ruin the surprise. I'm hoping we don't catch any sneak peaks at the parades/shows. :goodvibes

Guests without party wristbands are not allowed to shop after the party begins.

We did this last year - made a 6:50pm reservation at Tony's so that we could stay and ride the rides until the last possible minute. It was great.

We didn't have anyone escort us out or say anything to us at all - but probably because we were at a restaurant right next to the exit anyway.

We had a later dinner at liberty tree during the Christmas party last year. We left the restaurant and the Christmas parade was going by. There was no where to move if we wanted to. We watched the parade from the liberty porch and exited on our own right after it ended once the crowd started moving. We didn't try to ride rides, shop, etc. No one escorted us or mentioned anything about the party. Frankly we probably could have stayed for wishes, but watched it from the bus area instead!! This was early November. Maybe they crack down more as it gets closer and more crowded.

We had ADR at 7ish a couple of yrs ago at CRT on a party night as well, we had to show our ADR # to a few people when we were making our way to the castle as they were starting to block things off for the party, but once we were checked in for dinner things were fine. We ate, and then a group of us finishing without party tickets were escorted out by one Cm- during the parade down the mainstreet sidewalks. It was alost impossible to follow her, some people didnt on purpose they wanted to try to do stuff during the party. It was a madhouse trying to get down MS as the parade was going by but we made it, picked up or packages and left!

That's what I do as well Ray!! I hate waiting in the wristband line later on!!
