ADR Hold Times - 2/22/2009 - Chatter and Venting Here

I am so sad! :( Next Sunday is my 90 day mark and I have been excited about making my ADRs for weeks (OK.. months) and now I am dreading...

Disney is not making this a very "magical" start to my vacation! :guilty: :scared: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

These wait times are unbelievable. I called in this morning at 6:00 am central and got right through. However, it took over an hour to make four (successful) ressies. I had not gotten a prompt when I called regarding dates, but ended up with a CM on the new system. She attempted multiple times to make ressies for the 23rd and 24th. Apparently, the system kept kicking these to the 26th, so I had a load of dinner ressies on the same day when she reviewed them all. She offered no explanation, just that the locations were fully booked for the dates I wanted...hmmm, Whispering Canyon and the Plaza, really? She insisted I would need to call back at a later time. I immediately called back a second time and after holding for too long was hung up on...one second "it's a great big beautiful tomorrow" the next "have a magical day"! Third call gave me the prompt I didn't get the first two tries and I got a CM on the old sytem finally wrapping up my morning.

When I read things like this I KNOW that paying extra for club level is by all means worth it!!!
My 90 day mark was last Sunday and Sunday afternoon I got a nice e-mail from the IPO with all my ADRs for the week

So sorry to all of you who had to wait so long , I hope Disney gets things under control.

WOW!! I'm glad everyone's persistence (sp?) paid off!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I was on hold yesterday as well, but was not one of the winners. I gave up after 1.5 hours. I have never experienced anything like that before and just knew something was broken or something. Oh well, hopefully I can call today and get the rest of my ADR's

I did speak with one CM and was only able to make the ADR's for the first 3 days of our trip. She said I would need to be transferred to someone else for the rest.

Reading everyone's posts from yesterday, I hope
I can get Le Cellier!!:scared:

Great job everyone, and from the sounds of it we will be in the World together!! Say hi if you see a crazy lady with 4 little girls.:scared1: It's ME!

That is so crazy. When I made ours a while back thank goodness it was a breeze. Whats going on now is insane.

The wounds are still raw, so feel free to post your experience from 2/22/09 here.

I never call at 7:00 AM since the phone lines are clogged then. I waited until after 9:00 AM and had to call twice because the first time, I could barely hear the Cast Member. The first time, the call was answered (as in the Cast Member was ready to take my reservation) within four minutes. The second time (about five minutes after I hung up from the first call) was answered in six minutes. I got what I wanted, Le Cellier for lunch on May 24th for 1:05 PM.

I'm one person who doesn't feel the need to have tons of dining reservations for all the hard to get into places for dinner. There are plenty of other options available.

Managed to get everything I wanted!:cool1: It took around an hour and a half with the waiting and also getting the ressies. Not too bad considering the waits some people have been having!:scared1:

Managed to get Donalds Safari Breakfast and the Turf Club at SSR for the 24th May, Tutto Italia 25th May, Mama Melrose FDP on 26th May and Le Cellier dinner on 29th May. I had to swap that with my Tutto day which was fine. I wanted anytime between 4 and 6 and got 4.25pm.:thumbsup2 I also got Chef Mickey for dinner 27th May a few days ago.

So all set, just got to add the DDP with MS now.:thumbsup2

I called at 7 am on 2/23 and was on hold for over an hour. I decided to use my cell phone to call and go ahead and get our Tour tickets. The lady asked if she could make a Dining or Tour reservation. At this point, I went ahead and made all of my ADR's and was able to pretty much get what I wanted. I then proceeded to get my KTTK tour tickets and was done about 8:30. I hung my cell phone up and the other phone was still blaring Disney music. Went ahead and hung up. It was a real pain though, but it sounds like the new system will be pretty nice when it is complete.

:scared1: Yikes to all of these stories!!

I called yesterday morning as well, but I didn't have any of the problems that are being talked about on this thread. I was only on hold for maybe 5-7 minutes. I only had one ADR to make (have been calling daily over the past week to make our ressies one day at a time), so that was quick and painless. But now I'm nervous that all went too smoothly! I'm worried that the CM I spoke to didn't notice if my ADR was kicked out to a different day or whatnot. Hopefully I'll be okay since I have all my confirmation numbers, just in case.
