I'm planning our first WDW vacation and managed to confused myself here. According to the Disney widget that I downloaded from the Disney site, today I am at 181 days and in 2 hours my dining reservation day should be upon me. Then I went to the Disney website to go ahead and log myself in so I would be ready when the time came and the site says I'm at 182 days. I double checked and the dates on both sites are correct for my reservations. Is this an error with the Disney site????? When will I be able to actually make my reservations???

One other question... For the first part of my stay my family will be split into 2 rooms (so technically 2 separate dining plans), does that mean that I will need to make 2 reservations for all of our meals???

No, you can make one reservation, just have your waiter/waitress split the bill at the table.

One other thing, I do not think the Web site for reservations opens until 5 or 6 on the morning EST.

Use the ADR calculator that PP gave you and then you can make your online ADRs at 6 a.m. when you are 180 days out, or you can make them by phone at 7 a.m.

If you are staying onsite, you can make the ADRs for the first 10 days of your trip at the 180-day mark.

Thank you all so much for the fast replies. Good to know I won't have to get up at like 3AM to make the ADRs. Thanks for the calculator. Got it all straightened out now.

PrincessSuzanne, I get your siggy. Army family over here too!

Just a note. I have noticed that the Disney website has been slow on updating how many days you're out...until you log in fully. Like going to your reservations then back to the homepage. It usually resets itself once you do that. It's been happening to us saying we have 9 days when it's really 8. :cloud9:

And dining reservations open up at 6 am EST for online.

Well ladies, I've made my ressies!!! The only thing I couldn't seem to do was book my Fantasmic! package. None of the dates are open for June though. Any thoughts on what's up with that??? Also, we are doing a split stay, but I made all my reservations under my first resort reservation. Is that going to be a problem? I will (obviously) using one reservation to pay for some and the second reservation to pay for another.

:cool1: Congratulations - it is a wonderful feeling!

I'd say call and talk to a CM about the Fantasmic package - but the last time I called I was in a loop of push buttons! Hopefully someone else can be more helpful for you :wizard:

No problems - it all works out - like a PP stated, when you are seated tell your server you have 2 reservations... 2 bills - so you give them your 2 cards - and from time to time it is a good idea to check your receipts to make sure there are no mistakes on your credits - you can get a print out at the resort as well

YES!!! It certainly feels fantastic!!! I got all the ressies I planned for and only had to shift a few (an hour at max). DH just got off the phone with a CM and booked our Fantasmic! package with no problems. Thanks so so much for all of your help ladies! I checked my online reservations and Disney automatically split my dining reservations between my split stay for the respective dates. Gotta love that Disney magic!! I'm definitely going to have a magical day now!!!

It's a wonderful feelilng to have them all booked. But, if you are like me, at 3 weeks 5 days out, I am still undecided on some places I have booked, it's madness I tell you :scared1:
