I am currently planning ADRs for March 2012. We (2 adults, 1 child) will be there 7 nights on the DDP. I have it narrowed down to the following...

Ohana's (dinner)
Liberty Tree
Boma (dinner)
Chefs de France
Coral Reef
Whispering Canyon
Tutto Italia
Teppan Edo
Hoop De Doo

I'm torn on which ones to eliminate...any suggestions on which restaurant is the best out of the bunch?

I have eaten at all on your list and my least favorite is Whispering Canyon.

We have always loved Hoop de doo but it will use up 2 of your 7 credits

which will mean you will have to eliminate 3 of the other :scared1:

If you want a TS dinner each night I think I would then get rid of HDDR, and Teppen Edo

Ohana's (dinner) - Keep
Liberty Tree - First choice to eliminate
Boma (dinner) - Third to eliminate - not really a kid place
Chefs de France - 2nd choice to eliminate
Coral Reef - Keep
Whispering Canyon -Keep - fun for kids
Tutto Italia - Could go either way
Teppan Edo - Keep
Hoop De Doo - Keep - great for everyone.

The PP is correct. If you are only using the dining plan and going to HDDR you will have to eliminate 3 places.

We have eaten at all but France I would eliminate liberty tree and whipper canyon. Lt was just frozen stoufer style meals. Whispering canyon the food wasn't great and we didn't find it fun. ( my kids were 6 and 4)

It's a toss up between my two least favorites on your list: Whispering Canyon is just not my cup of tea (greasy food/noisy/kids running around with the famous "ketchup" bottle) and Ohana has to be one of the weirdest places (think of your entire meal being thrown on the table in no discernable order--even before drinks! Tried it twice and had the same lousy experience--oh, and don't forget the "singer"--using the term loosely--she sounds like a cat in heat.):confused3

bahahahahahahahahahhahahaha :lmao: :rotfl2:

Thanks for the laugh! Now back to your question....true about HDDR, you would need to get rid of 3 places if you keep HDDR. I would eliminate Whispering C, Liberty Tree, and Coral Reef.
Definitely keep Teppan Edo. SO YUMMY and entertaining!!!

:scared1: For the love of all thats magical and holy cancel Coral Reef. There wasn't enough beautiful ocean life in those tanks to distract from my awful meal.

I'd get rid of Teppan Edo just because to me, it's something you can do at home easily. I know it's Disney and all but hibachi is hibachi. ;)

I don't know how many you need to eliminate, but I would not return to Les Chefs. The food is awful and tasted like it was from a frozen boxed dinner. Service was poor as well.

Coral Reef didn't impress me. I MAY go back one day, but it's at the bottom of my list.

And I personally would never go to Teppan Edo because most towns and cities have exact replicas. All the Japanese Teppan restaurants seem the same to me, so I would want to spend my meals in Disney getting an experience or food I can't get elsewhere.

I would def do Teppan Edo as this is one of my family's favorite places.

I would do Liberty Tree for lunch not dinner. Dinner is just too much of a thanksgiving meal from a box. Not all that fabulous, but lunch is always a must do for us.

Whispering Canyon is just okay. Once the novelty of the ketchup bottle has passed, the food is just so-so. Did enjoy watching a man getting yelled at for having his cell phone out on the table. lol

We really liked O'hana for breakfast. Good food and plenty of it!

Whispering Canyon hands down!

Food and service not worth the time.

I would get rid of Coral Reef, and Teppan Edo.

I actually wasn't fussed on the food or entertainment at the Hoop Dee Doo so would get rid of it :rolleyes1
I'd also eliminate Teppan Edo.

If you did want to use 2 entitlements for HDDR though I would elimiate Teppan Edo, Liberty Tree Tavern and Coral Reef.
