ADR for just shakes/deserts at Sci-Fi?

Having looked over the menus and read the reviews here, I'm thinking I would like to go to Sci-Fi just for shakes and/or deserts. Should I mention this when I call for an ADR? Will the waiter be upset if we don't order a whole meal?

I wouldn't mention it...there's no rule you have to order a meal, plus I don't think that any notes will transfer over to the restaurant's reservation ***puter. As far as having an unhappy waiter/waitress...that might happen, but I wouldn't be concerned about it. I've heard of others making ADR's just for dessert, so you wouldn't be the first that didn't get a meal.

We were just there last Sunday. The couple behind us ordered milkshakes and onion rings only. Our waitress gave them the same great service she gave us. They seemed to have a very good time.

Thats for asking this question. I have been wondering the same thing myself. We really wanted to go here mostly just for the environment. But we also had an ADR at prime time which we love. So I mentioned to my friend we could try Sci Fi for a snack. But I wasnt sure if I needed to make an ADR.

Oh, you have to get either the sundae or the cheese cake!!! The sundae is MASSIVE and sooooo tasty!!!! The cheesecake comes on a plate decorated with caramel corn and M&Ms and is heavenly!!!!! Or, I'd just go for appetizers...the onion rings are fabulous and so is the spinich cheese dip and chips....DROOL!!!!!!!!!!

We always go for appetizers and drinks, or milkshakes. We have an ADR in August for desserts and milkshakes. We usually save our table service for a dinner and we'll pay out of pocket for Sci-Fi.
