I have an ADR for Ohana at 5:10 for 3 people but now I believe my eldest daughter (who isn't staying with us the whole trip due to college) will be with us so I need the reservation for 4 people...and now nothing is left.

I am trying to find one for 4 but if I can't what happens if we just show up with 4?

They may not seat all of you. Restaurants have to abide by fire codes and if the restaurant is full they may turn your extra person away.

I definitely realize that could happen. Just hoping that with the earlier ADR time they could squeeze us in.

Has anyone ever called Disney Dining and had them change it? I wonder if that is a possibility.

I would call Disney Dining and see if they can change it. I was able to get one of mine changed on my last trip when I called. If not, keep checking back for a cancellation.

We were at WDW last Dec and our TA had made all of our ADRs for us at the 180 day mark. She did not realize that the cast member she spoke with had only given us an ADR at CRT for 4 instead of 5!! I actually picked up on it just the next day--but even that quick there were no more available reservations for the day we wanted!! It was timed for my DGDs 7th BD and a reservation at BBB in the castle--so ultra important. The TA was told by Disney reservations that it would be fine for us to just show up with the 5 of us and we would be accommodated. We were nervous and I had decided that if neccessary I would just step aside and miss the celebration. However--we had no problem at all!! They were very nice about it and never expressed that it was a problem at all!! :cool1:

Seeing as most tables are for 2-4-6 guests. I would think that adding 1 to a party of 3 wouldn't be a problem since you you would probably be at a table for 4 anyway. But then you never know.

Disney does not add people to reservations but instead finds an open reservation for 4, cancels the one for 3 and re-books.

While there are no guarantees you'll be seated and this is risky, I can say with experience we've done this at even the most popular restaurants and were accommodated. Occasionally we had to wait slightly longer but nothing unreasonable.

I would suggest continually searching for a new reservation but if nothing becomes available it never hurts to try.

The one thing that throws a wrench into this at Ohana is that there ARE tables for 3. They are against the windows. My mother and I sat at one when it was the two of us.

I would call and try to change it. If that doesn't work, show up well ahead of time and explain. Understand that they may turn you away OR you may end up waiting longer then you would have otherwise. It is also possible that they will just say okay and seat you not problem. All of those possibilities exist!

Thanks for mentioning this. DH and I ate at one of those tables and I was asking him if he remembered if there was a third chair there. I thought there might have been but wasn't sure, although I can't actually see with all those plates how a third person could eat there.

As an update....my daughter decided she would rather just have the extra park time since her trip is shorter than ours and I was able to find a reservation for the 3 of us once she leaves so I will be cancelling this one.

Thanks for the responses!

Since you're cancelling it anyway, you might try to re-book for four people immediately afterwards. It would be interesting to see if you could grab your reservation back, but with one additional person.
